Ring Spare Parts Kit for Video Doorbell (2nd Generation)

After charging and replacing the battery on my peephole camera, the video stopped showing. I tried everything to get it back online. Nothing worked. It continued to pick up motion, but it wouldn't show an image. Did some research and came to the conclusion I needed to replace the cable. Ordered this little set. Replacing the cable was very easy. Plugged it back in. We now have video!I'm glad Ring has made this set inexpensive. Because it's completely unnecessary for this camera. This shouldn't be happening.

Ring Spare Parts Kit for Video Doorbell (1st Gen) - Backplate:. The received backplate is the same model as original (see attachment).+ The ribbon cable(blue arrow) was corroded on the old backplate and reducing effectiveness of charging.+ A tab at the top was also broken on the old backplate (see red arrow).. The new backplate fit too tightly against the ring camera to allow it to be manually pushed into place into the locking tabs. This required using the two provided new screws at the bottom of the camera (or use your old screws) to push the camera into place while firmly holding the camera flush against the backplate while tightening the screws.. Works great!

Somehow I misplace the screw and screwdriver to my ring doorbell. This kit was a perfect replacement. It fit my doorbell and was much cheaper than buying a whole new doorbell.
