I was very impressed by the improvement in sound, and thought I would gild the lily by replacing the USB cable provided in the package by iFi Audio with their own high-quality Mercury cable. I read in a review, however, that the Audioquest Cinnamon does the job better and is cheaper, and to save a few bob I bought the Cinnamon. Swapping this around with the cable supplied, I detected some differences, in that the Cinnamon was smoother and more refined, but with less poke; whereas the original was cruder but more immediate. So far I don't think the difference is worth the money paid, but maybe it will improve as it burns in. Update November 10, 2015: I gave this a few weeks to burn in, but I can't say there was any improvement. The sound, though smooth, is still too flaccid. I switched it with a Furotech lead I had lying around, and lo, the dynamic presence was immediately restored. So this cable is not to my taste, and I feel that I have wasted my money.
