Silverline Chase Wedge 190 x 63mm (427655)

I bought this Chase Wedge along with a Lead Dresser and Bossing Stick as I am going to attempt covering a roof with (obviously) lead. Having looked around the various stores I couldn't find what I was looking for although I knew the tools that I needed to do the task in hand. It didn't take long to find what I needed on Amazon. This set of tools are the business. Just as I've seen tradesmen using and at a good price too. It's a pity that I haven't got more of this type of work to do as the tools will be more or less redundant when the roof is completed.

quality product at cheap price

Bought this to do as it says chase the wedge to secure the lead sheeting into the cleared mortar line when flashing the roof but because my home has quite thin mortar joints it turned out not to fit the slot created which was a bit of a disappointment. I am sure it does the job perfectly as long as you have a normal height mortar line.

Until I bought this tool,I'd been using a bolster chisel to push the lead sheeting into the slot in the brickwork,which is not the best idea for soft metal.This plastic tool works far better and cheap enough to use just once,because I can't think what else I'll use it for.
