Lots of Great Beverages - Many with Specialized Ingredients
New Mocktails Bible: All Occasion Guide to an Alcohol-Free, Zero-Proof, No-Regrets, Sober-Curious Lifestyle 250 Tasty Drink Recipes Made with Fresh Ingredients by veteran cookbook author Anne Schaeffer is absolutely perfect for those who love cocktails but want to avoid alcohol. This cookbook is loaded with great ideas for non-alcoholic beverages. These aren’t your regular super-sweet virgin drinks; rather they are made from mixers and distilled beverages from Mocktail Beverages, Inc., as well as other companies that have developed ingredients for these amazing drinks that apparently taste like alcohol like non-alcoholic whisky and gin.The book includes beautiful, professional photographs of every Mocktail recipe; most are beautiful drinks that are very appealing. In the first chapter, there are lists of equipment needed, ingredients for the beverages, a glossary of terms, as well as basic recipes for simple syrups, flavored ice cubes, fruit purees, caster sugar, and other necessary ingredients. While a lot of the drinks contain specialized ingredients from several companies, there are also dozens of drinks that are different from cocktails such as mouthwatering smoothies and dessert drinks that are very appealing, and that don’t have special ingredients. All told, this book has dozens of recipes for drinks that can be served for many different occasions. It will be used often by those who like innovative, fun beverages.Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.

Awesome recipes!
New Mocktails BibleAll Occasion Guide to an Alcohol-Free, Zero-Proof, No-Regrets, Sober-Curious Lifestyleby Editors of Fox Chapel PublishingI rarely drink alcohol because I take medication that does play nice with alcohol. But I do like the fancy drinks at times. Maybe it's just the juice? Anyway, I saw this book and wanted to read it. I want to thank the publisher and NetGalley for letting me do just that. The found the whole book so helpful! The beginning had equipment and ingredients that are normally needed for a well stocked "bar", lol! Then they described how to make shrubs! The only shrubs I know are in my front yard so this was new to me. Not only do they explain how to make shrubs but what they are used for. Then the book goes on to the various syrups, how to make them and their uses.Don't forget the necessary glossary! Boy did I learn a lot there! I will never order anything with a 'Flip'.(Just my personal taste.) I learned what a 'Pony' of something is, also what an 'Aperitif' and 'Digestif' are. Here is some titles of the mock drinks.Ward 8 CocktailAretha FranklinMaze RunnerSay Ahhh byGrecian LadySurfers ParadisePac ManSouthern BelleIn the MoodGuave BuzzBerry NiceCaffe CalabreseThere is just SO MANY recipes! Each with excellent color photos and terrific instructions on making them. The drinks are in chapters of either Dessert Drinks, After Dinner Drinks, Unusual Mixers and Drink Bases, Traditional Mocktails and Mixed Drinks, and New Signature Mocktails. The amount of recipes alone is fabulous but I learned so much too!Highly recommend for anyone just wanting recipes for desserts, for friends and family that don't drink, for trying something new, or etc. Whatever your reason, this book will have plenty of recipes for everyone.

I’m loving alcohols free living
Two years today since I last had an alcoholic drink and I celebrated with ‘Safe Sex On The Beach’, a wonderful mocktail with amongst other things, peach, orange and pineapple, and of course without the vodka. It was yummy. I love the fact that I can make mocktails like these for myself and I don’t feel as if I’m not losing out when I’m with my drinking buddies. The book comprises a great introduction, an equipment chapter, a chapter explaining the ingredients, a glossary, and then of course various chapters featuring the cocktails - signature cocktails, traditional cocktails, unusual mixers, after dinner drinks, and dessert drinks. So many mocktails to create and sample. If you don’t drink alcohol, if you want to try an alcohol free lifestyle, or, if you want to cut down on your alcohol intake I highly recommend giving this book a try. The kids can also get in on the fun. Ranging from basic easy to make mocktails, up to more complicated mocktails with harder to come by ingredients. Something for everyone. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

The Mocktails Bible
The Mocktails Bible is perfect. About a fourth of the recipes call for alcohol-less alcohol, which may be hard to find, but the rest are super simple. I made the cranberry sparkler with ingredients I already had on hand. Not only are their traditional cocktails listed, but a most of the recipes just super fun drinks that anyone can love. We all highly recommend the Sunday Morning on page 136.

Great Non-alcoholic Cocktail Book
New Mocktails Bible has some great ideas for non-alcoholic drinks that will rival many alcoholic cocktails found in high-end bars. Admittedly, I was concerned when I read the first chapter, as it used many non-alcoholic spirits that are not widely available. I live in a city and think I could track down many of the items used but for those not in a metropolitan area, some ingredients may be difficult to source. Luckily the book redeemed itself for me in the subsequent chapters where it relied more on fruit juices to achieve the desired flavour profiles. For those who do not drink alcohol or those looking to add more non-alcoholic recipes to their drinks repertoire, the New Mocktails Bible is a great addition to your drink resource collection.
