A great food scoop
This is a versatile ladle/scoop. I have searched for a food scoop that would handle hot food and this fits the bill. I cook and freeze meals ahead and this ladle (in one scoop) holds a good serving and is easy to put into the container for freezing. I have also used it for dipping soup, does a great job. The ladle is perfect for much more than just canning (which I don't do). It looked odd to me when I received it and had the paper work ready to return it, then decided to give it a try...so glad I did..it's my "go to" ladle now.

great kitchen addition
Normal ladels are too small and useless. This is a great size, and even comes with a stand to store it on while stuff needs stirring and cooking. Service was prompt and price good.

HUGE ladle for pasta and canning
Bought as a gift for my pasta-making husband. He loves the large size and how easy it is to clean. An added bonus is the hook on the side of the handle for keeping it on the side of the pot. An additional bonus is that it all breaks down for storage and it has CLEAR markings for measuring liquids.
