Great Game. If you like Coup you will love this!
If you like Coup you will love this. If you don't know Coup then buy it anyway. Very good for family games. Certainly good for teenagers but even our 9 year old enjoys it too. Basically like Coup but with many different variant roles which are decided at the start of play. Then it is Coup. We as a family of 8 love playing it ranging ageswise from 9 to 22 and two old folks. Takes 15 mins to play. Great laughs !!

I'm not a geek, honestly..
Bought it as a gift for a friend as we really enjoyed the original version of Coup. I really loved some of the new abilities that were in this game. Some quite OP ones as well! This one has tonnes of different characters (can't remember how many.. about 30-40 or even more maybe), which does give a good variety and a different dynamic to the game but in my opinion, didn't have to be that many of them turned out to have similar abilities, just of different strengths. In addition, having that many characters limited the number of roles that could be in play which turned out to be a bit of a bummer as certain roles are meant to be counters to another but if it is not in play, then, it causes the balance of the game to tip a certain way etc. What really fascinated me about this game originally was the concept of being able to risk/ bluff your way out in correlation to the roles in play and due to the aforementioned, if the balance is tipped, the risk of bluffing would not be as high or as rewarding anymore and so on (Gosh, I sound so geeky). I may not be making any sense but hopefully it helps. I've only played it a few times, so I may be missing out on different ways to play it as well so I might be totally wrong in saying the above.Overall, I still love the game and it still has me curious about the different ways to play it and make use of the roles. Will update more if I get to play it again.

Fantastic game, but not enough play testing!
This game is fun, but not enough thought went into the design. The reference cards don't carry the card's action name on them and the actual influence cards should have the full rules on them, otherwise it's too difficult to bluff! Otherwise, the game is great, the art is nice, I like the box and the manual is helpful!
