![Resident Evil: Degeneration [DVD] [2009]](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51QmsBKMbOL.jpg)

A zombie attack brings chaos to Harvardville Airport. Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield who fought the sinister Umbrella Corporation during the Raccoon City tragedy 7 years ago, are back. In high-octane Resident Evil style, they're ready to battle a rogue warrior who is seeking revenge after his family was killed in Raccoon City. The deadly G-Virus is unleashed and a new mutated monster goes on the rampage. Will Claire and Leon be able to terminate the virus before history repeats itself? Review: Brilliant. - Ask any R.D lover... Great..!! Thank you. Review: Two words - CLAIRE REDFIELD! - This dvd is a dream for any Claire Redfield fan like myself and is the only reason I bought it in the first place. I love all the games but this blue ray stopped me in my tracks. Claire has been my favourite character ever since she showed up in the second game and it has been like that ever since (I miss Alyson Court). I love that big sister/Guardian/mother figure that she holds for lost kids and has a seriously funny talk back attitude "You might want to stick your ego up your ass...." that has stuck with her through the years. She takes no crap from anyone. She even gives the senator a serious smack across the face in this lol it was awesome. Just love her. If Claire wasn't in this movie I honestly wouldn't bother watching it, sorry damnation, no Claire, no sale. This is my favourite "Claire" with her white on top of the red outfit and she looks beautiful too. She really is the queen, there is no other, sorry Jill, Ada and all you other girlies. For anyone NOT obsessed with Claire I would still suggest you purchase this if you are a fan of the games, its a fun ride and the graphics are quite good. If you are not a fan of the game I'm not so sure. I would borrow it instead.

Perfect for fans looking to satisfy their Resident Evil fixation
Resident Evil Degeneration is the first of possibly many full length CGI outings. The movie features 2 much loved characters from the video game series, Claire Redfield(RE 2 and Code Veronica) and Leon Kennedy (RE 2 and 4). This new release is a brand new and original story that plays out like an FMV cutscene from the games. The story is quite simplistic but it may confusde viewers who have never played the games. However, the action alone is enough to suck in most newcomers. From beginning to end, Degeration is a fast paced, adrenaline soaked thrill ride, which at times may seem a little cliche, but is nonetheless enjoyable. The first thing you will notice about this movie is the beautifully detailed CGI animation which captures both character and backround details with unbelievable precision. Fans of the games may be impressed to hear that the original voice actress for Claire Redfield reprises her role in this movie, as well as Leon's voice actor from the fourth game. The DVD is a single disc release, however, there are some nice special features such as the Generation of Degeneration documentary, english voice actor bloopers, a peek at resident evil 5 and more. Resident Evil Degeneration is certainly an excellent action movie and if you're a fan of the games it is probably the best resident evil film made. The aim of this movie may be to whet ours apetites before the much anticipated release of Resident Evil 5 in (hopefully) March 09. However, this movie stands on it's own two feet in terms of enjoyment, and is sure to be enjoyed for a long while. Now lets just hope that Capcom decide to make more of these Resi CGI gems.

Better than the 'Live' ones.
Only recently got round to watching this and I thought it was excellent,so what if it feels like an overly long cut-scene,it's much better than the 3 live action films, and I actually like them!,technically not as impressive as say Advent Children it stays faithful to the source material which can meander a bit in the live action efforts,The ending of the second film was almost like Parasite Eve and I can't say I liked the way elements of Code:Veronica were shoehorned into it to 'look good' either, the third was much better, anyway I digress, this was very good even though I expected to be told to 'press start'any minute,oh and G is excellent!

BEST CGI EVER!!!
I'm a hardcore Resident Evil fan & this is a great film in its own right, but considering it's not only based the greatest survival-horror games series of time. It's also designed as sequel to Resident Evils:- 2(seven years later), 4(A year later) & Code Veronica X. More games developers should produce film adaptations of their own games, it's worked for Square Enix with Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (Which was the best until now) and now it's worked for Capcom. A word of warning this aimed more at hardcore Resident Evil fans, so it maybe abit rubbish otherwise.

Great Film. A must for Res-Evil fans
Being a Resident Evil fan(both game & Films), I brought this not knowing what to expect and boy, I was not dissapointed. The film fits into the world of the games (set between RE4 & RE5), re-unites Leon and Claire from RE2, who have each followed diffrent paths since the Raccoon City incident. Leon now works for the US Government while Claire works for an anti-Bioterror organisation. The film has everything you'd expect from a Resident Evil game. Hey, it must have been good, a sequel has been planned for 2012. 'Damnation' I believe its called. Bring it on !!!!!

Fun to watch
Degeneration is probably going to please most big RE fans; it's officially canon, it has T-Virus zombies, Leon and Claire kick lots of arse, it has the G-Virus, and it makes reference to at least 2 of the games. That said, you shouldn't expect this to be a work of art, because it isn't. It takes itself slightly too seriously at times, for one thing, which isn't aided by the slightly inconsistent voice acting (although to be fair it's better than what Resident Evil players are normally used to). The CG can be great at some points, but dips a little too far into the Uncanny Valley when focusing on human characters, especially when they're meant to be showing an extreme emotion. The story isn't going to win any awards, either. That said, it IS a lot of fun to watch. Even the slightly crap parts are fun, because it feels more like you're watching a high budget B-Movie, and you end up just laughing at how silly or cheesy it is. It's probably worth the asking price for the bit where Leon throws his gun to Claire, whereupon the SFX guys decided to open a big ol' can of Bullet Time and apply it VERY liberally. Great fun, and for under a tenner you can't complain at that.

Great
Bought this for my niece who has become a huge Resident Evil fan; we both love this version and wish there were more animated films - the live ones are rubbish! If you are a RE fan I would defo recommnd this DVD, it feels like the game, it may not have all the explosive Fx as in the live ones but it is 100% better...just wish there were more!!!
