Of course the little jars are let down with lots of oil and roasted red peppers and so on where this is just the purely made chilli hot harissa paste, ingredients are minimal. I have yet to figure out how to soften it a bit more but I definitely don't regret buying it. It is good stuff and so much better value than the little jars. I'll update when I have got it just right but almost there. Made some great roast cauliflower. I have confidence that anyone who sells their product in such a good looking container is probably going to ensure the contents are at least as enjoyable. Foolish? Maybe, but I have faith!

Might blow your head off!
I've had the tubes by Phare du Cap Bon, and of course the other little jars such as the Belazu rose harissa but this stuff is very very hot! Of course the little jars are let down with lots of oil and roasted red peppers and so on where this is just the purely made chilli hot harissa paste, ingredients are minimal. I have yet to figure out how to soften it a bit more but I definitely don't regret buying it. It is good stuff and so much better value than the little jars. I'll update when I have got it just right but almost there. Made some great roast cauliflower.

Dented tin- stick to tubes
I deliberately bought the tin so I could keep it as it’s so pretty but it has a massive dent in it. Really disappointed

taste of home.
Having lived in Tunisia I wanted to bring this back with me but couldn't no space in suitcase. I'm so pleased I found this, I enjoyed cooking and eating this with all of the recipes I learnt over there. Its a real taste of home for me as I lived in the cap bon area of Tunisia. Goes lovely with tuna and mayonnaise too 🙂

A can of tasty spicy bum-burner anyone?
Bought this due to its size, since the ones in the supermarkets only appear to be sold in small jars that we seem to require to purchase many multiples of. Good size tin of paste that delivers on taste and with sufficient bite to add a little excitement to the dish - recommended.
