Festool 496187 Selfclean Filter Bag For CT 26, Quantity 5 (1)

First used this CT 26 for plaster/lathe removal. Pulled the first self clean filter bag out, and I am impressed. I've used many commercial grade vacuum cleaner and shop vacs, but this has to be the most impressive. I realize this is the review for the bags - but that's what I'm talking about. The vacuum and bag combo it the most impressive I've seen. The first bag was definitely full, no voids or pockets. It came out of the vac and felt secure. Very little sign of any dust on exterior. I can see how these meet HEPA standard.

The box, the markings and the filter material are all right. The self cleaning filter bag works well with less impact on vacuum suction as it becomes loaded. The bags have a lot of capacity and filter well enough to help protect the separate HEPA filter. I've used the Festool vac. inside of the house to smooth out a solid oak table top, no dust. I won't risk damage to my expensive CT26 Festool shop vac by using less expensive bags with marginal reviews. The first Amazon purchase of these last me years, I'm looking for the repeat with the 2nd purchase.

These dust extractor bags are so superior to other bags on the market that I promise you will never go back to conventional vacuum bags. The bags completely fill up until they are a solid cube of waste unlike the inferior vacuum bags offered by home centers and hardware stores. Though they can only be used with the newer model Festool vacuums, the combination of a self-cleaning filter bag and Festool vacuum (CT26 or CT36) is undeniably the best in the world for what it is intended and not to forget the very reasonable price.

These bags work great! They will fill up completely, almost 98%. Festool is expensive, yes, but not having all that dust in your lungs, worth it! Don't think you can empty it out and reuse! You can, but then you get to breathe all that dust into your lungs that you missed out on while sanding! I tried it, hard to empty out! I was covered in dust when I got done!

Work really well at maintaining airflow, cost a bit much, and I actually think they are too big, sometimes fold over themselves in the extractor preventing them from getting completely full

I love the Festool system because of the vacuum, and when combined with the attachments and tools, I am able keep the work area clean and organized. The bags fill up with use and need replaced. These replacement vacuum bags came well packaged and on time. Festool quality, and works well with my system.

Festool quality made into a vacuum filter bag. If you know the product line then you know why that means. The system is amazing and in no small part because of these bags. Emptying the shop vac with these bags could be done in your finest cloths without getting a spec of dust or dirt on you. The inside of the vac looks brand new. No leakage at all.

Festool vac bags are fine quality wise, but expensive. Looking into finding a way to reuse them

Quality Festool branded bags - my fault, but I hadn't fully appreciated there were 5 bags in the pack so seemed like a bargain when they arrived!
