Middleswarth Chips, Regular, .875-Ounce (Pack of 36)

I grew up with these chips and when I moved away in the 60's I found they were not available in Texas! When I found they were available online in the 2000's I started buying them online. I now live in SC and I still have to buy them online but, it's cheaper than going to PA!

So taste is a very personal thing and these chips are exactly what I’m looking for. Remind me of the potato chips I ate as a child. I think its the beef tallow they use to fry these. All the chips that I used to love changed the frying mixture they used in order to meet federal regulations and so now almost all potato chips taste the same, tasteless. Don’t know how this company is able to avoid this, maybe tallow is not in conflict with the regulations? As long as they make them this way I’ll buy them and hope the government leaves them alone.

Am looking for chips fried in tallow, but the company also used partially hydrogenated seed oils.

Chips were a bit old and crush when we got them. Still tasted ok but not fresh and were beat up.
