Bought this after my charger died, original charger lastest just over 3 years, this one seems to produce less heat whilst charging, maybe it was because the previous one was on the way out?Packaged very well, bought this one as I've used cheap generic chargers in the past and found the voltages fluctuate wildly and tend to cause the batteries to get considerably hotter than the oem provided chargers. I haven't tested the voltages on this yet, but the fact it doesn't get too hot and the battery charges fine without getting overly warm indicates to me this is of good quality, anyone who's bought a cheaper charger I should imagine knows whats I mean with the heast issues.I've no idea if this is genunie or not, it says acer on it, which is more than the original charger said, but it seems to work, same voltages as the original and comes with a warranty, all in all, very happy with the purchase

It seams to charge the battery better than the other one I purchased, though sometimes the battery looses power when switched off which I find confusing, but it is soon back to fully charged after a few minutes.

Have previously bought 2 cheaper adapters, which lasted less than 12 months (wires came loose from connecting plug). With the free delivery this adapter was only slightly more expensive but is the same adapter that originally came with the computer (Aspire 5720). Looks a much better and connects better/firmer to the computer. delivery excellent.

The item was damaged on receipt, case cracked, and the plug did not fit the laptop it was required for although it was advertised as doing so. Through the thing in the bin!
