The magnet on the back is not strong enough, it just slides down the fridge, otherwise they're okay. The display is good and clear and the battery should last ages as it's a AAA not a button one. They look quite pleasant and seem pretty solid too.

I bought another, more expensive, of these; listened for the "end" sound and sent it back. Waste of space, too quiet and grossly overcomplicated.This is a very similar design to my previous timer. It is easy to set, had BIG numbers to see on the cooker hood, and you can hear it. It's a timer, and it works. End of story.BTW: I was asked to review "sheerness" and "thickness" of the device. Anyone got a clue what these are?

This is a truly nice timer. Not much to say about it, apart that it works the way it is supposed to. Easy.The big problem is with the magnet. Because this timer uses larger batteries than most timers, the magnet is absolutely inadequate and it will slide down the fridge surface, and if there is nothing to stop it, it will fall on the floor.For this reason I will have to substitute the magnet with a stronger one (the one the timer comes with is ridiculously weak even if for lighter items), and this adds to the total price, making it not that convenient, after all.My 3 stars are generous and I didn't go lower only because the timer itself is good.

Whilst I feel harassed into leaving a review, their reasoning makes sense so... The timer looks ok and works well enough as far as I can see, I haven't checked it against any other timepiece. I was pleased to see that it uses a normal battery rather than an obscure or expensive cell type. If I have any negative comment it would be that there is no on/off switch but that is because I only expect to use it occasionally... so I've taken the battery out again.

Very satisfied. Easy to use even with wet fingers and the device is protected against splashing water ingress. Also, the alarm is pretty loud and you can easily hear it over the extractor fan or even from another room. Only drawback is that the magnet on its back is not the strongest, so we now keep it on the kitchen counter - hence only 4 stars. But that is because we tried to attach it to an extractor fan made from thin aluminium. If your kitchen configuration permits attaching it to a fridge or another thicker metal surface, it will hold without an issue.

Completely functional, as long as you don't want to stick it to the fridge! The magnet is rubbish
