Darin Olein looks at products that are toxic. He discusses the dangers in common convenient products. This book is not only educational, Darin gives suggestions of other products to use instead of the convenient, toxic products as well as recipes to make your own. Darin also has a podcast that is amazing!

This is a great book - very informative. Prepare to be shocked about the chemical issues in this world and what we are doing to ourselves!

Very helpful for alternative products

Wow! I was recommended this book by a friend. I learned so much by reading this! Loved the recommendations it provides in place of the toxic options we've relied on. The facinating chapter for me was the one that discusses clothing. So much I learned about fabrics and dyes. Have bought second-hand clothes for years, now I'm glad to know they are actually better for me than brand new! Buy this book, you'll be talking about it with your friends!

I have been listening to Darin's podcast for years where he would do his Fatal Conveniences episodes. I was SO excited he was making this book so. Him and his team REALLY do their research and give alternatives to each. So helpful! It'll really change your life! Shedding light on some of the things we just do day to day without knowing how harmful they are. Incredible and eye opening. Thanks Darin!! Will be gifting copies to friends and family too!

Darin caught my eyes and mind with His first book and this one , even though only a quarter way through, makes so much sense and it is things I have believed and read about on smaller levels for years. We are killing Ourselves, Our planet and Our Spirit as we conveniently forget the Truth of corporations and what they truly care about. I Hope this gentleman continues to write and keep Us all informed. I do not follow podcasts so Darin, keep writing. I purchased this in kindle and audiobook and then received the hard cover version for Christmas.

I don't think I needed a book to tell me how bad these things are, but maybe I needed one to open my eyes about how pervasive and damaging it really is and give me a kick in the pants to clean out my products.The book is simplistic and right to the point. A great starting point for the average person. Easy to read. Easy to understand. Only took me a couple days to get through it. Not cumbersome. Tells you the basics about each type of product and offers alternatives. The last chapter is recipes and websites for alternatives, which is helpful.Overall, good introductory book. Great title. Good design. Recommended reading. Perhaps a book that should be in everyone's personal library.
