Darice1022-71 Foamie Roll, 36x60, White

This was my first cosplay using foam and it turned out amazing! Its very easy to work with and if i needed thicker pieces i just glued layers together, which i think is better than buying thicker foam for more money. This stuff is cheap and you get a huge roll! I love the result of my wings, will definitely buy more for my next cosplay, im officially addicted.

This worked amazingly well for making Mrs. Whatsit. Contare to what some of the reviews say, if you use a soldering gun on med heat, it holds up pretty well with a light hand....great to add dimension to your project. Also I used a professional glue gun to place my pieces, which is very hot...the foam seemed to hold up really well with no visible melts on the front side. I highly recommend giving this product a try, definitely fun to experiment with!!

Great product, and the cheapest place I've found it. This was perfect for a cosplay that I was working on.

I've been using this stuff for many things:packaging fragile stuff,protecting electronic gizmoscraft projects,waterproof painting substrateWrapping china, glassware and silverwaremaquettes and furniture model-makingpads for guitar-cases and effects pedalsfrench-fitted tool casesquieting cabinet doorsIt's easy to cut with razors, x-acto knives, scissors or paper cutters (both rolling or swing-blade)It takes and holds acrylic paint well.It's flexible and lightweight.You can sew it by hand or with a standard sewing machine.You can glue it with PVA white glue ( like good ol' cheap Elmer's) or cyanoacrylate.White colored duct tape stick to this stuff very well!( but... DO NOT USE polyurethane glues or any acetone solvents! They eat this stuff like the alien's acid blood goes through space-ship hulls! On second thought, buy some extra and try acetone on it... it's cool to watch! That might make a good cheap special effect for low-budget movies.)And when you buy enough of it in large quantities like this roll, it isn't terribly expensive. I still deducted one star because even at this price, I think it is overpriced, but then I'm a cheap SOB.

I was able to get almost all of the feathers I needed from this one roll of foam! I only did the bottom row though and not the full set of wings. If you score small lines into the foam, it will shrivel a tiny bit to show the lines better after using a heat gun. Exactly what I needed!

I bought this for some cosplay projects: a set of pauldrons and some stiff, non-fabric components of an Elizabethan-style upright collar. Worked well for smaller components like this; probably not thick or sturdy enough for anything larger without a lot of layering. I glued on a fabric backing, which gave it more stability. Best for straight or flat components, but I got a pretty good curve for the pauldrons. I recommend using a clothes iron on low heat to mold the foam: hold the iron on it for a few seconds, then press the foam to a surface that gives it the shape you want.

I love this stuff!! I make all kinds of things from EVA foam and darice foamie is the best. It has a soft buttery feel, evendors color and their white is actually a true bright white, other brands it's winter white or off white. It does have a smell at first but open it, let it air for about 30--60 mins and it's gone. My only complaint is they only offer white, black and red in large rolls

I got this to use for adding details to EVA foam armor. I now get foam this size from cosplay distributes for cheaper but this was a good alternative when I did not have access to those websites. It is very flexible and also sturdy.

I didnt properly read the dimensions and is even larger than i expected. It will suit my upcoming projects perfectly!
