I upgraded my MacBook and require a durable cable that won't risk losing all of my data should an unfortunate accidental unplugged occur. I also had to use a USB-C adapter with my original wire that came with my hard drive and this also led to instability issues.However, the Ugreen cable is very well-made and locks securely into place without the fear of accidental unplugs from bumps or maybe even falls (though I will not be testing that!). This cable does what it’s supposed to—moves files fast and doesn’t feel cheap. The 10-foot length is great because I don’t have to sit right next to my hard drive while using it.It connects snug and doesn’t wiggle loose, which is a big deal. I bought this so that I would have the highest speed data transfer capability on my computer to my cell phone and to some external hard drives it works as expected and no worse. I recommend it and the only slowdown I could guess it might have is your USB serial bus. I have found many differences between each port on my computer and whether or not is USB and USB-C depending on the device? It’s so weird I can’t make heads or tails of it but this cord works just fine.
