I would have loved a book about all 500+ films that sort of ...
A quality book on the subject of film noir with 100s of superb photos and informative articles about the subject. It is a pity the book spent a lot of time about a small number of films (good as they are) as well as the overall genre. I would have loved a book about all 500+ films that sort of make up that genre but it is still a fine book

Great intro to FM.
Over 600 pages of background info and pics of this fascinating phase of American movies. A good introduction. Oddly have not yet found any ref to Lizbeth Scott & Arlene Dahl, elsewhere described as the “Queen of FM” & “Most Beautiful...” respectively.

Great Introduction to Film Noir
This a great book, plenty of stills from some of the most important noir films, chapters on what makes a film a film noir and a closer look at 50 films in the genre. Avery good introduction to noir that will get you interested in checking out these classic films and reading more about them. Recommend.

A Film Noir bible!
This is a wonderful book to explore so many of the great film noir genre. It is excellently illustrated, featuring original posters and may stills from the films. Fascinating and wonderfully informative. A great buy!

Gorgeous book but tiny print size
I love owning this book, it's gorgeous and the content very interesting but why they thought it was okay to have such tiny print size I do not know. So I have to lop off a star, sorry. But you do need a magnifying glass to read it comfortably. Sort it out, Taschen.
