Keeps little fingers out of controls.
Exact fit and good protection.

Great, cheap way to add protection to a rack device
I used this to protect a customer's fiber patch panel that was in a very bad location that could get hit or bumped into which would break the fiber. Worked great!

good protection for things on your rack.
This was easy to install & provides some protection for whatever you put behind it.I'm using it to cover the mounted power strip in order to prevent the switch & the plugs from being inadvertently hit.As it is, I don't think it provides much security (you can remove it with a screwdriver, obviously), but it serves my purpose

Great to keep little fingers off of rack equipment
I have an open desktop rack, but this is great to keep the kids' friends away from my equipment. Swapping network cables or flipping switches would be bad and this blocks things off without being too painful for me to gain access as needed. The only minor thing is that when overlapping smaller parts, there isn't room for the other screws to come through so this is on top. This is not a big deal and the cover still screws in tight. It just caught me off guard at first. I will probably pick up another for my backroom rack with the real equipment as well.

Sturdy, well-made and lockable.
When you just want to prevent "accidents" in the studio, like preventing a power switch on an amplifier from being bumped, this lockable cover is ideal. It's heavy, solid, well-made and lockable. What's not to like? One really minor glitch: The mounting screws are on the outside of the enclosure, so a determined person could relatively easily defeat this, but if you're concerned about this, just use security screws.

I was easily able to open the locked panel door in 2 seconds, using nothing but a screwdriver.
The media could not be loaded. I saw an online prank video recently where a person put their wife's phone and keys into a cabinet, then locked the door. The only key to the cabinet was now inside the cabinet. The wife panicked. She considered calling a locksmith or possibly just busting the cabinet open. After a little while, the husband cooled her down by removing the hinge pins and easily opening the cabinet. This rack security cover reminded me of that video when I showed it to my wife, and within seconds, she said, "They could just take the screws out."I went online and checked similar access panels. They are designed so that the rack mounting screws are not easily accessible when the door is locked. You could possibly remove them by putting a long, slender screwdriver through a vent slot, but at least the designers gave it a try. I would have eliminated the vent slots on the far left and right. That would make getting to the screws with a screwdriver quite a chore, probably requiring some drilling. It's also worth noting that the door is attached by two rivets that appear quite weak. I didn't try, but they looked like I could easily remove them with a hammer and punch, or perhaps a pair of locking pliers.Considering the way the screw holes are configured, I expected to at least find some kind of security screws in the package, but they included none at all, not even standard rack screws. This would have gone a long way toward meeting the seller's claim of "Physical Security". If I were them, I would immediately update the product by adding security screws and the matching special bit or screwdriver.Security considerations aside, the construction of the panel is just average. The steel used seemed thinner than what my other rack accessories are made of. The top and bottom sections are thin enough to flex with little effort. In fact, it can easily be deflected enough with a screwdriver to defeat the lock mechanism in mere seconds, which I demonstrate in the included video. This cover is for low-security applications only. Perhaps you need to make sure that others know not to use the equipment under the cover or to prevent them from accidentally using it, in which case this should work great. It's great for access control, but lousy for theft control.
