Exactly same but physically smaller. It includes 2 expansion pieces additionally to the base game: (1) lady bug (2) mosquito. You can play the base game without these. Do note: Count your pieces and ensure they correspond to the correct proportions ie right number of each insect as incorrect tiles can be mistakenly packaged. Pocket version is superior to the excessively large version imho for storage and portability and makes little or no difference to the game and is cheaper.

Pocket pieces are 10p size. What size are the regular?

Pocket pieces are 25mm x 10 mm. Standard Hive pieces are 38mm x 12mm.

is there a pouch that comes with it

yes a nice red one with hive logo on it. Fits all, base plus expansions. I have however seen other editions with different colored pouches.

Does this come with English instructions?
