Power Plays & Straight A's: Special Edition

I enjoyed the story and the pacing. The characters are great. Grant isn’t your typical jock and Zach is so much more than just a nerd. The bond between Zach and Grant is beautiful and I’m really happy with how Grant handles situations with Zach. Really gave his character more depth. Zach is absolutely adorable and sweet and definitely can take care of himself. His self growth after getting close to Grant was very intriguing to read.

This book is so pure and full of good vibes, it will make you happy. It is also full of humor that will having you laughing out loud or at least chuckling like a crazy person at your book. While this is a rip roaring good time there are still obstacles that our heros need to overcome. While our adorkable nerd (Zach) does the heavy lifting when it comes to personal growth, our hockey player (Foster) still has developments of his own. This book has an almost fairytale ending and is guaranteed to make you feel good. Can anyone say comfort read?

Not worth the money. The story and the language feels as if it was written by a 14yo.

Power Plays and Straight A’s is book one in CU Hockey series. A MM brothers best friend sports romance.Zach the shy, nerdy and off limits brothers best friend. Foster the hot, confident hockey player.Zach always been off limits, until Seth asked Foster to keep an eye on him when they end up at the same college together.These two are adorable. Foster doesn't fit the usual athlete stereotypes that are so often shoved into sports romance. Not only does he lack the meathead vibe, but he's also intelligent. This was so refreshing. The chemistry that develops between Foster and Zach is cute and sweet. The banter flows once Zach feels comfortable and they really blend well together.We also meet a few of the characters that will appear in future books, it's always fun when doing a reread to pick up on things you missed the first time.Also as always Iggy Toma and Alexander Cendese are fantastic narrators. Their voices always work so well together and never fail to make for a great audio experience.

If I could give it more than five stars I would.❤️❤️ This book has everything I wanted, opposites attract, jock and nerd, brother’s best friend, bi-sexual hockey captain, virgin MMC and NO third act breakup or miscommunication 👏Foster Grant is Colchester University’s star hockey player. He’s popular, attractive and openly bi-sexual (at least in campus) and solely focused on making in it the NHL after graduation. Zach Sawyer is the best friend of Foster’s twin brother Seth, and he has just transferred to CU to begin his Masters degree. Zach is nerdy, shy, and sheltered, but when Seth asks Foster to look after Zack, Foster jumps on the chance. Because even though Zach has always been off limits, Foster can’t help his longtime crush, and this gives him an opportunity to really get to know Zach. Good thing that Zach has always had a bit of a thing for Foster isn’t it?Foster Grant is perfection. I love how he is genuinely and openly himself and actively works not to let stereotypes define him. Zach is just adorable and socially awkward and seemingly the last person that would be a match for Foster. But the thing is, it works! The chemistry between them is palpable and every step they get closer, you feel the sparks and genuine affection they have for each other.This story will literally melt you, and the fact that it’s low angst and high emotion is absolutely refreshing. And boy who talk out their feelings and work through their emotions and reactions… give me more.This one borders almost on cheesy with the banter, but I didn’t care. It just made all the little pieces of my battered soul happy and was easily on of my favorites this year.
