Height= 21 inches with top closed. Width is 11 inches. Depth is 19 allowing for where top affixes plus foot opener. Hope this helps.

Do all models of this brand require custom trash bags?

None of the models "require" the SimpleHuman bags. For this particular model, I use regular kitchen trash bags and they fit great!

Please tell me how to attach the lid? I am going to send this back if I cant figure it out.. Im frustrated, pls help

This is a 4/2021 purchase. My roommate and I just spent an hour trying to get the lid on. After reading these comments I think the company is being kinda unprofessional about the whole thing. If you read down far enough you'll see their response... a web address which is, yep you guessed it, Oops. Our bad. This isnt here anymore... then sends you to a promo site for the trash cans you didn't buy. But Yes. The upside down hint (below) works. One hinge slipped on as soon as we got it in place. The other took a tap from a hammer (I'm a real philistine... I did not bother with a cloth cover. But nothing untoward seemed to happen.) It seems to me that since the upside down instructions work, the company could at least include them in the box. Otherwise it seems like a good trash can.

Could you tell me the dimensions, primarily the width? Thank you.

Its about 9 inches across at its widest point and tapers off to the back at approximately 7.5 inches. Hope that helps :-)
