This phone holder was completely useless to me. I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra with a metal pop socket on the back. I don't think this is an incredibly heavy phone, but the weight of my phone kept pulling this vent clip off the car's vent fins, because the clip would not tighten or clamp properly on the vent. It was extremely frustrating trying to get it to latch on. My phone fell into the floor of my car every time I attempted to mount it to the vent. It stayed in place for about 30 seconds at the most, and then fell off into the floor of the passenger side of my car while I was driving. I tried to fish around for it while I was on the interstate, but had to leave my phone in the floor until I could safely pull over and retrieve it. This makes me think that this product could be potentially dangerous, if you're dead set on retrieving your phone while driving.This holder would not tighten or lock onto the vent fins tightly enough to hold my phone. It was past the return window, so this useless item went into the trash. It was a waste of money and time, trying to get it to work.

I really wasn't expecting the product to come with the packaging torn and looking like it had been returned and re-sold as new. It looks to be in like new condition, I'm glad it wasn't a gift coming with trashed packaging.

Perfect for those that use a popsocket which I do exclusively. It’s fits in my vent perfectly and is very sturdy. Only complaint is I have to take it down to use the heat otherwise the phone heats up which is no flaw in design, just inconvenient.

I had this product for several months now. I had to replace my old one since I lost it. It doesn’t stay in place as well because you have to put the pop socket in partially expanded for it to hold the phone properly. It doesn’t feel as secure and it tends to make my vent fall down more. There is a bigger gap between the vent and the pop socket but it’s not as effective. Installation is fine, not too difficult but it’s not the best for keeping the phone upright without it weighting down the vent more now. I wouldn’t recommend this one since it doesn’t keep your phone in place, it makes my phone spin more to landscape orientation since it has space to spin more. Not a good value for a the money since I prefer the old version better.
