Mine are old doors (7 feet tall) in an old apt. building in NYC and they've been painted a million times. It's all I can do to close the door WITHOUT the anchors. I've tried inserting the fabric strap anchor from both sides of several doors; near the doorknob and at the bottom, not being able to use the top of the door ( 7 feet, remember?) although only one door has enough space in front of it to allow a workout...
