Seemed good initially but intermittent.
When it works, it's fine, but it occasionally stops working and then you have to reconfigure it again. That means it's not dependable, because unless you test it regularly, you may not realise it's not working. Make sure you keep a note of the code number that you need when reconfiguring. You will need it.We bought it so that we would know when a delivery arrived when we're working in the office at the bottom of the garden because we couldn't find a doorbell to cover that range. Now I have to test the doorbell before I go to the office if I'm expecting a delivery. Today it's not working but I'm not expecting anything so too weary of reconfiguring it.Another requirement we had was that there would be a 'bell' that would sound in the house whether or not there was a configured phone/ipad in the vicinity. It does come with a unit that has a huge choice of ring tones but the batteries in this unit do not last long at all. I changed them about 2 weeks ago and already there is no sound coming from it. We don't get many visitors so it's not overuse that's causing it. So even if we're in the house we might be unaware there's anybody at the door.As for the video quality, it's not bad, but there is a delay with the vision and sound. We do find the log useful, because if somebody rings the bell when you're out and when the bell is working, you get a photo of them so you can see who it was.I was tempted to give it 3 stars as I have great memories of it working when we first got it, then it started playing up and as we had an old router, I even bought a new super-duper one that doesn't have to be reset occasionally. It just works all the time for every other device we have. Only the doorbell is the problem now, so it can't be blamed on anything else.

Brilliant Wifi Door Bell
We purchased our Wireless Wifi Door Bell with camera and intercom because it would be a great help to us. I'm disabled and it takes me a while to get to the door, now I'm able to answer the door and ask the person to wait whilst I get to them. It also gives me the safety of not having to answer the door if I don't want to. It was very easy to install this door bell, and the instructions where helpful. You will need to run the cable down from the bell into the house to a plug socket, to plug in, turn on and run. It was easy to find the phone APP that you will need to download to access the bell. The door bell comes with an internal bell ringer, so it will ring in the house if you don't have your phone on, enabling you to use the door bell like an ordinary bell. From your phone, you can set up what bell ring you fancy, you can check the door bell log, as when someone rings your door bell it takes a photo, giving you a log of who has called. Although, it's great to answer the door from your phone, and see who is at the door and speak to them in real time, it's really handy when your out, as you can still answer your door and the visitor need not even know you are not at home. This item gives you security, and no more need to answer the door to cold callers perfect. When I placed my order for this item, I was delighted to get delivery the next day which was a Sunday, almost 24 hour delivery, very good indeed.May 2017: Not even two years old and it's stopped working on our iPhones. Very disappointing. Looking at another model, as I need this due to being disabled to see who is at the door. Not having this on my phone is not helpful.

Heads up if you're with Virgin
I purchased this unit and after some stumbling around the instructions discovered that it operates as a wifi hotspot. Not a problem if you're broadband is supplied by anyone except Virgin Media. VM block personal hotspots so you won't be able to use it. Luckily I also have an Openreach broadband connection so was able to set the unit up.I'm generally good with following instructions but have to say those that come with this product are far from perfect. There was a good deal of trial and error. The theory has been proved but I've yet to put it into practice hence the three stars.

Items works well enough when set up but instructions are poor. I managed to find a video on line made by a third party that was clear but without it it would have been a struggle. The mobile phone app seems to stop the phone going in to sleep mode so be prepared to charge more frequently

I had to return this for a full credit as the software seemed to be overly complicated could not get it to connect to any of the 3 Wi-Fi's in my house. Guys you need to operate the KISS principle (keep it simple stupid)
