I already had a Ergotron arm so I knew to expect the same industrial-robot type sturdy design. If you try to hold a monitor or laptop on the end of a 60cm long lever by the end of the lever you appreciate the need for strong materials. This was easily installed on an lx arm. The plate from the arm extends a bit beyond the plate on the tray, which doesn’t look as good as it could but it doesn’t interfere with the function. It holds the laptop well. For a modest investment I now have effectively both a standing desk and a way to display my laptop and external display side by side. This is welcome under current work-from-home conditions! For scale, the images show a 13 inch laptop, 24 inch monitor, and two lx arms with the normal length pole.
