Just as good as the Brita filters
Work as well as the Brita filters at a fraction of the cost. Take a little longer to prep than the Brita ones but worth it for the money saved. My jug didn’t need the little green adapter but if yours does there is two in the box.

Excellent Alternative to Brita Maxtra Cartridges - but cheaper!
Universal 6 Pack Filter Cartridges are a more affordable alternative to the Brita Maxtra cartridges. I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with the performance and quality of these filters. They are just as good as the real thing, but at a fraction of the price!Installing the cartridges was a breeze. They fit perfectly into my Brita pitcher without any issues. The compatibility with Brita Maxtra was flawless, ensuring a hassle-free experience. The filters effectively remove impurities from the water, leaving it clean, crisp, and refreshing. One aspect that pleasantly surprised me was the longevity of these cartridges. Each one lasted for an impressive duration, filtering a substantial amount of water before needing replacement. This means fewer cartridge changes and more cost savings in the long run. I found the overall lifespan to be comparable, if not better, than the original Brita Maxtra filters. The water quality after filtration is outstanding. I noticed a significant improvement in taste and odor, with no unpleasant aftertaste. It's reassuring to know that these filters reduce contaminants such as chlorine, lead, and other impurities, ensuring that my family and I consume cleaner, healthier water.Another advantage of choosing these Universal cartridges is the value for money they offer. Compared to the higher-priced Brita Maxtra filters, this 6 pack comes at a significantly lower cost without compromising on quality. It's a win-win situation—quality performance and savings for the budget-conscious consumer.Durability is another area where these cartridges shine. I appreciate their sturdiness and reliability, as they don't break or leak easily. The construction is solid, and the design ensures a secure fit, preventing any water bypass. I have been using them for a while now, and I am extremely satisfied with their performance. In conclusion, if you're looking for a cost-effective alternative to Brita Maxtra filters, look no further than the Universal 6 Pack Filter Cartridges. They offer the same excellent filtration capabilities, compatibility, and durability as the original filters, but at a much more affordable price point. With these cartridges, you can enjoy clean and refreshing water without breaking the bank. Highly recommended!

Good price and fit
Much cheaper than the Brita brand filters. Don't forget to use the green doodad in the box that opens the valve in the jug. (The Brita filters have this built in). I did and I thought they were broken! It's loose in the box and easy to miss. 4 stars because I have no real idea how well they are filtering the water. However they fit my Brita Marella jug perfectly and are a fraction of the price. Product has high quality packaging, each filter is individually seal wrapped and both the substantial, well constructed box and each wrapper is fully branded and printed with instructions for their use on them. That is to say, if it's a con, they've spent lots of money on very professional packaging and solid looking filters. But, as I say, it's largely a matter of faith that the low price doesn't mean poor filtering. I'm very happy so far though.

Value for money
Great item that I needed for new Tassimo machine. Water clarity and taste is much better and the need for cleaning the machine extended too.

Longer prep time than a Brita filter
I’ve always switched back to Brita filters whenever I’ve tried other generic brands, usually for the taste..Brita is vastly superior. So here’s hoping these will work, as the price tag is much lower. The prep time took a little longer - 15 mins soak plus 3 flushes of the cartridge, which I’m not too bothered by. There are two valve tube inserts in the box, not all jugs need it, mine is the Marella type 3.5L so did need it fitted. It’s easy to insert, and instructions come with the filters. The taste of the water seems pleasant. Can’t say yet to the longevity of the filter and if it will last 1 month like the Brita filters. Make sure the filter cartridge is tightly pushed down into the jug, I noticed that the water was filtering off down the side of the cartridge and not through it so needed an extra push to make sure it was in properly. If any negatives come to light in the next month I’ll add to this review.

OK for water jugs, but avoid for kettles.
I have a Brita Jug and Kettle, and tried these filters in both of them. In my Jug they work perfectly, even the little green thing works great to get around Brita's proprietary valve thing. However for my kettle, these just don't work. When used with my Kettle, after the filter has been in the kettle for 2 weeks, I fill it, and it takes almost an hour to filter through. As I had a six pack I changed it to one of the new ones, and again after a couple of weeks the filter just starts going slow again.I think these filters are stopping working properly based on the heat from the kettle. It's the only explanation I can think of, that would make them work fine in my jug (that's kept in the fridge) but just stop working reliably in my kettle. So, if you are looking for replacements for water jugs etc. I would recommend, but for kettles/coffee makers etc. you will probably have to stick to the genuine brita filters.
