Pretty good
I needed this product as a piece of a molar had fallen off (I blame the Christmas Florentines) the day after Boxing Day, with no hope of seeing my dentist for some days. The tooth edges were very sharp and cutting my tongue, so I had to find a temporary solution. This kit has been invaluable and I would recommend it for anyone who needs a temporary fix. This will not last for a long time. If you forget that it is there and you accidentally chew on it, it will not stay in place and you will have swallowed it before you realise. If you are very careful, it will last for a few days. As far as getting the temporary filler to stay in place, I found that I needed much less of the filler than I thought, I also found that it was easy enough to add more filler on the occasions that I had underestimated. A hole in your tooth feels like a chasm, but isn't really! I used the clove oil first and rolled a small amount of the filler between my fingers to get it malleable, before pushing it in and smoothing it off. It doesn't seem to matter if everything is wet with saliva. It may roll out straight away, but just relax and push it back in. Be careful when biting on it (to ensure that the filling is not too high) as you can manage to pull the temporary filling out again. I tried introducing some concave dents with my fingers rather than much biting down. Smooth the sides gently with your finger/tongue. The tool was no help with the application to the tooth, but helped get the material out of the very little pot. As others have mentioned, ideally do this before you go to bed to give it a chance to set, though I'm not sure if this would work very well with the tooth grinders. (I have a gum shield to protect my teeth). I have had to wait for a couple of weeks to see the dentist and I have re-filled the tooth 4 times, so far. I would definitely recommend this, but it is not foolproof. You may have to work at perfecting your technique....

Confidence Restored
I used this product in place of going to the dentist, which is overly expensive and in my experience do more harm than good.I filled a cavity. Cleaned it out and followed the instructions.A little goes a long way. Follow the instructions carefully.Very important to keep the soft clay material in dry fingers as moisture activates it setting hard. Keep the remainder of the soft cement in the container.Very easy to use.The Euthemol leaves the flavour of cloves in your mouth and has a numbing effect.Once the filling has set, when tongue moves over it, it feels smooth. The colour is pure white.

Don’t waste your money!
Was told to use this from the emergency dentist after my molar cracked, and unless you want to eat putty, slowly, as it crumbles and sticks to everywhere, but your tooth, in your mouth! Waste of money and time and absolutely disgusting. Pretty sure playdough would do a better job.

Very good filling of applied correctly
If used correctly, it works wonders! I've filled a space where filling has fallen out, and it's now day 4 and it's still there. This is what I do; I find it works best before bed as it gives time for the filling to set. I brush my teeth and swallow saliva and dry the area with some paper towel. I use the Eugenol on a cotton bud and apply it to the area. I prepare a small ball on my finger using the flat end to scoop a bit off. Roll it into a ball and pop it in the area and press it down. I use my finger to gently wipe excess off the area. After this, try not to disturb the area. Just keep tongue movement to minimal and go to bed. Next day it's set. I avoid eating on the side affected, as the temporary filling is affected by eating. This helps it stay put longer.
