Solid system at this price range
I decided on this system after considering this, Tiwee (budget system with great reviews, but no app or push capabilities) and Veho Cave (mid price solution but no siren). It's more than I wanted to spend and I was slightly put off by the middling Amazon reviews, but felt it was worth the investment given the extra features and prominence of the brand in the smart home field. Setup was a breeze. The app guides you through, although the translations from French (Somfy is a French company) to English could be improved. I had the whole system up and running with the various sensors in the kit within 20 mins. The sensors seem to be good quality and intuitive with a calibration process that determines whether a door/window has been opened or someone has entered a detection area. Overall I am happy with the system and it has worked reliably in the week I have had it installed. It would be good if it would also support third party cameras, but I can understand the desire for brands to keep you within one ecosystem (although it does say it is compatible with Nest). The arming and disarming process is self explanatory, either through the app or the fobs. As a previous reviewer mentioned, the battery covers on the fobs are a bit flimsy so probably need a bit of tape. The siren is extremely loud and I would imagine would be enough to deter a would be intruder. Everything (except the hub) are battery powered, which I think is a good thing in case there is any interference with your electricity (although that would also take down your WiFi so you wouldn't get a notification?). Overall, impressive system and probably the best on the market for this price range, at least until Ring and Nest come into the UK market with their alarm offerings (which have been available in the US for some time).

Alarm is good, quality is frustrating
This alarm system is exactly what I was looking for and when it worked, it worked well, however I had to go through 3 returns cycles & finally buy the bundle with the external light to get a working product. The first 3 had a fault where the internal siren was not installed with any warning sounds. We have no been using it for 3 months and have only had 2 false alarms (one door tag, and one PIR - both were on south facing rooms on a hot day), however as we have internal cameras we were able to check them and disable/rearm the alarm whilst we were away. One of the best features of this alarm is that once I've driven around 1/2 a mile away it'll send me a push notification to arm the alarm. I can activate it from a single click from the notification and have peace of mind whilst I'm away.

Works very well, easy to set up, looks good
Very easy to set up. The app works well and doesn't crash. Looks good. The fobs are great, and cheap to add more at £25 each. IntelliTAGs work really well on doors. Please note that on windows they work on vibration so need to be put on the frame of a sash window as the up down movement of the window won't set them off. Then again, the banking or shaking of the window will set them off. Mine came with a Euro plug and a British plug. You attach whichever is appropriate to the back of the Link.

Would not connect to router.
The idea of preventive rather than reactive technology made me buy this system. It is meant to detect a potential break in rather than an actual break in. What made me return was it wouldn’t work with my and probably most UK routers. I would have to turn off the 5ghz channel, slowing down how some of my devices work, for it to connect. Sent it back today.

Needs Improvement but not too bad.
I've installed 2 of these. One for my mother who lives in a flat with brick walls and one for myself in a house with plasterboard walls. Had loads of bother at my mothers. The signal manages to get through 1 wall only. Any more and the devices disconnect constantly. I finally got a stable install by placing the main box in the hallway. If you have brick walls and are not in a small flat, you will likely need the extenders. They could have improved this by using mesh technology where each device talked to any other devices. As it is, every device needs to be able to talk to the base station directly which is limiting in how far you can go without using extenders. The instructions are rubbish. All they say are "Install using the app" but the app assumes a perfect install workflow so I had multiple issues. Installing a window sensor, the app steps me through the procedure to the point where the sensor requires "calibration". it says "open the window slowly". I do, nothing happens. Eventually it times out and says "calibration failed" with the option to try again but no clue on how to resolve the error. Needless to say, this happened every time. Eventually, I installed it as a "Sliding Window" instead which seems to skip the calibration phase. Nothing actually explains what this "calibration" is doing or why it is needed. Sometimes the sensors just stopped working on a specific sun facing window. I found that pressing on the sensor brought them back. I'm unsure if this was because the battery was unseated or because the heat on the window caused the plastic sensor to expand and release the tamper button. Changing WiFi connections is problematic. Sometimes it just doesn't work. Again there is no indication of what the issue is or how to resolve it. The app is not designed for small phones or even for large phones with large text (see photo). Some of the on screen buttons are completely INACCESSIBLE as they appear off screen and the screens are not scrollable. I had to use a tablet to actually complete the installation which actually raised another issue. The app is locked to portrait mode. My tablet has a keyboard and is landscape only. I reported this to their support over a week ago but to date, even after a reminder mail, they have not responded at all which is extremely poor. The fobs are flimsy and fall apart. Given that the fobs and the app are the only way to disarm the system, they need to be better quality. The app would benefit from a home screen widget to give quick access to the arming functions. There needs to be an internal keypad to disarm the alarm too to save needing every family member to use a fob or a phone. In operation, the systems functions ok although It did wake me at 4:30 this morning telling me that an intrusion attempt was detected. It wasn't fun trying to run into the next room to get the phone, open the app and stop the siren. Checking the CCTV showed nothing and it wasn't windy. False alarm but the only one so far since installation a couple of weeks ago. I do like that the system disarms itself when I walk through the door. I'm assuming it detects that a fob has just returned home and pairs that with the door open event to authorise a disarm. You can use Google Home to arm the system but not to disarm. I assume this is to avoid an intruder shouting through the letterbox "Hey Google, Ask Somfy to disarm my site". The arming commands can be chained to events in your smart home. e.g I have it set up so that a single command "Hey Google, Good Night" arms the alarm, turns off the downstairs lights, turns on the bedroom lights and turns the heating down. The system arms with a pretty chime sound unless you get the dodgy siren I got which just gave an awful buzz. Amazon as usual were top notch for their returns process and ordered me a whole new system so I could swap out the bad siren with the new good one. I would have liked to have the option for a chime even when the system is disarmed. It would make testing so much easier. My old alarm chimed once if a door was opened and twice if it detected a window shock. It was very handy and made sure anyone who came to the door, knew an alarm was in play.

Gives great peace of mind
Bar some minor niggles, this is a fantastic product. Took very little time to set up, and the app works very well. My only complaint (very small) is the sensitivity - despite setting one of the sensors a the front door, it was paranoid enough to go off from a light knock: recommend playing with the sesitivity unless you fancy waking up with a fright!
