YC9442 ( Official 2021 UK Version ) Wireless Weather Station, Radio Controlled Clock , Indoor Outdoor Temperature Thermometer, Humidity, Barometric Pressure, Ice Alert

I recently upgraded my old one bought 20 years ago. This one is much clearer to read. It is very accurate. It updates itself every night at 1am. Easy to set up. During this latest hot spell, I have used it to tell me when I can open the windows. ie Outside temperature lower than inside. It tells you almost everything.

This is personal preference of course.I don't care about graphics or colour. That they are active moving graphics, I find an annoying distraction. The display brightness levels available mean that if you sleep in a dark room, the lowest level is too bright to be facing a bed (and "off" display makes it kind of pointless).I'd really prefer a less-form model, just a discrete looking, thin, white, LCD display that's purely run off a couple of CR2032's, and wall mountable. Also more functional bedroom projection models (adjustable focus and rotatable display, not just flip) would be great too - moving poarts would add cost, but they'd have no competition.That said, I have chosen to buy two of these (YC9442 and YC9441), as they do work. There really aren't a lot of choices out there since the demise of Oregon Scientific (who had lost the plot anyway imho).

After retiring my old weather station after 15+ years. I went for this one and wow I’m so happy with it, it’s was set up in a few mins and it looks so good. Another plus is the display runs off the mains ( it dose have battery backup) so will save a fortune in battery’s. The display is so easy to see and if connected to the mains is on all the time, I like that the outside and inside temperatures are a different color so easy to see at a glance. Delivery was super fast and well packaged. I am 100% happy with this item

Bought one of these for our office. The screen is very clear and easy to set up. Initially, I put it on the desk right next to the computer monitor and couldn't work out why the clock wasn't picking up the automatic time signal, then I went on to the official website and downloaded the manual to realise the unit can't be too close to any sources of electrical interference like a monitor. Once I'd moved it away from the computer screen and nearer to a window, it synced in minutes so all good. Looks well made and seems accurate far as I can tell.

Most of the features are okay and relatively accurate though it tells you heavy rain when there is none. but my main criticism is that it is far too bright when using power, I can not find a button to dim it or a night mode setting, it was originally in the bedroom but have had to move it because during the night it gives off more light than the Sun during the day, certainly enough to read your book by. Other than that I am quite happy with the purchase just a shame it does not include a night mode.
