Q: Are they each individually wrapped?

Yes they are individually wrapped. They came in handy for spills at my son's wedding.

Q: are these the same as the ones found in the Woolite dry clean only kits?

I don't know if they are. I will tell you this, they work! They don't leave a ring around the stain like to pen ones do.

Q: Can these be used on dark clothing like black or navy blue and it won’t cause discoloration or lightening of the fabric?

I wouldn't think so. I have used the wipes on colored fabrics but not as dark as black or navy. Also, I have used the Shout Gel on many fabrics and it didn't discolor them.

Q: Are these good period stains?

They are excellent to keep with you or in your car. They kill the stain before it sets in. I spilled spaghetti sauce on a shirt at a restaurant and pulled out a Shout Wipe and it took the stain right out.
