Non invasive and they work!
Love these strap locks, east to fit and use, super solid, never let me down over numerous gigs. No need to change strap buttons, you can keep the guitar as standard/bought.

A simple device, inexpensive and utterly effective
These D'Addario strap locks are a very simple device, but utterly effective. A strap falling off a guitar can be potentially disastrous in a live gig situation, an issue easily rectified by such a simple item. The strap locks slot over the strap button, and are made of strong, but relatively flexible plastic. One other neat addition is a tubular plastic runner which holds your guitar lead securely in place. Highly recommended item from a quality brand.

Good for neck mounted strap buttons
For £5 these are a cheap alternative to the likes of Schaller and work well.Of particular interest to me was the improvement it makes to my ES-339 which has the strap button mounted on the rear of the neck. This device lessens the strap angle and means that the guitar doesn't fall away from your body as much. Not as good as moving the button onto the horn but an improvement nonetheless.

Simple but effective guitar strap lock.
I bought a set of these for my grandson - but I have since bought a couple more sets and use them on bass guitar. They just push onto the strap button and prevent the strap from accidentally coming off and damaging your guitar. Good investment

Fits electric guitars with large or small strap buttons
The strap locks are called Planet Waves, but the packaging and strap locks are actually branded D'Addario - the parent company.Tested with a Squier Strat (14 mm diameter strap button), Epiphone Les Paul (14 mm diameter strap button), Gibson Les Paul (15.3 mm diameter strap button), PRS Custom 24 (15 mm diameter strap button). Worked on all of them, even when combined with a very thick leather strap. Very nice indeed.By comparison, the twist-style Dunlop strap lock could only work with a thin strap on the Strat or Epiphone, but not the others.Hole for the strap button to go into is 16.4 mm wide, but the button then needs to fit into a cup with a diameter of 15.5 mm (so 15.5 mm is the maximum diameter of your strap button).Hole for the strap button's neck is 9.3 mm (so that is the maximum width of the neck of your strap button - the part where the strap sits). This means that it will even work with some electro-acoustics where the jack and strap button are combined, but you will need to measure the neck of your button to make sure that yours is narrow enough.(This also sets the minimum width of the strap button, but that measurement is more complex, since it would need to be the width between one side of the button's neck, and the far side of the button's head. Quite simply; very few standard strap buttons are small enough to be a problem.)Plastic is 1.7 mm thick, so you need that much free space for it to fit between the strap and the button head.If you want to use it for holding a guitar cable, the cable slot is 6.4 mm wide at its narrowest point, so that's the maximum diameter of the cable. A 7 mm thick cloth-covered cable could be forced through with difficulty, but any thicker and it would cause the clip to remain open, allowing it to unclip from the guitar.Easy enough to fit with thin straps. Needed a bit more care to fit it with a thick leather strap (but even coped with a large, padded strap). Easier to use than the Dunlop twist style strap lock, and cannot accidentally be twisted off either. With thicker straps, it can press the leather strap onto the guitar finish, and over time may cause rubbing.Locks very well, not brave enough to test swinging the guitars over my head, but it doesn't feel like it could ever come off by accident, so it's much better than the Grolsch-style rubber washers. However, it is important that you keep the wire-slot side of the clip facing down towards the ground when you are holding the guitar; away from the guitar strap (the direction it would naturally be if you have a cable going through it). If you rotate it the other way up (so that the wire slot is aimed upwards towards your shoulder), then pull the guitar strap outwards, the stress from the strap gets put against the wire slot, which can cause it to unclip. Attached a picture to show this.

Very good 👍
They looked like metal in the pictures but they are plastic. But they do the job and do it very well very easy to fit with the added bonus of taking the strain of the jack plugs. Yes very happy with these and I highly recommend them 😊

GREAT for locking straps BAD for cables
If you want a very secure quick and simple way of securing your straps then I would highly recommend. Unfortunately they’re almost useless for holding any decent quality thicker cable.

This is the answer
Fantastic little things. Beat those rubber circles, beat strap locks, beat the daddario special straps. I've tried all them things and this is so much betterthere is a knack to putting them on and a new, thicker strap will need a little pushing but once they've been on and off a couple of times it is easy and really secure.there is a loop thing to hold a lead which is fine if the lead is thick, otherwise you can put a bit of padding on it ti keep it in place. i play and SG so the neck end one is not really visible but on a strat you might find it hangs down a bit.
