Does it come with eggs? If not which do you recommend?

It does not come with eggs. I used Waterline Decapitated Brine Shrimp Eggs along with Hobby Artemia Salt. Got loads of brine shrimp. Hope this helps. Andy

Apart from eggs & salt is anything else required to hatch the eggsh

They can hatch without anything else but you will get fewer eggs hatching and they will take longer to hatch then they would do if you put a desk lamp over the hatchery. You will also require something to put them in to grow them on once they have hatched, a small tank and an air pump.

Do you need to add bicarbonate of soda? I see people use it. My water is moderately hard and pH 7.4

I've never used bicarb, just aquarium salt and eggs. Seems to work well. My pH is about 8.0
