Does the Japanese saw cut fast?

Greetings: I’m a fan of Japanese style saws. The video I posted was a cut on seasoned dry red oak. And I applied no pressure. The cutting edges are very sharp and easily cut into the wood. Now that I have had more time with it; I really like it. To answer your question, yes it does for me. Just as fast as my other Japanese style saws and due to the handy size and grip. I can make precise cuts. Hope this helps.

Can this hand saw cut plastic?

This works great for my wood working project and cuts great. It is very sharp, so if the plastic is not super thick, this may work for you. Although I have personally not tried this on plastic.

Is there a replaceable blade for this,or can you ever replace it or ever need to in the first place?

No replaceable blade included but my understanding you don’t need. It is pretty handy for jobs that aren’t too large.

Nice sharp saw

Very nice quality saw. Great for making flush cuts. Just wish it had a better, sturdier box to keep it in, rather than cardboard. It does come with teeth protectors and the saw has retained its sharpness, although I don't use it a lot, so I can't comment on that.

Sharp & Durable

I needed a tool that was sharp & bendable to complete projects. I was very pleased at how sturdy yet flexible it was. The blade was very sharp & it included a plastic blade guard that I found helpful to not get cut when I take it out to use. Overall I highly recommend the knife to anyone that needs a sharp, well made tool for carpentry or for cutting small branches/ tree stumps.

Finding more uses for it

At first I thought this might just be a waste of money sitting in the tool cabinet, but as time went on I found quite a few trimming and cutting uses for this. I'm feeling better about it now. It cuts well and is easy to control.
