Great item fun to build done in a few days and totally worth the time

The invention of lego was the best ever ,it not only keeps the children quite it also keeps the husbands occupied,the concentration on the kids face'es is just beautiful,with the Death Star Lego there will be hour's of learningand days of quiet,it was worth every penny.

This is a set for 14+ but our young grandson - aged 7 - has been doing Lego for years. So, although it took him a long time to complete it, with just a little help from Dad - the instruction manual is about half an inch thick - the methods were clear and easy to follow. What a way to keep an energetic lad quiet!

All Lego is fun. This was no exception only it is a collectors item and large, obviously it will be built with care.

This is my honest review for an overly expensive LEGO set. It was great fun but it is hard to justify paying 400£+ for the set. I tried to review the newest version of this item but it wouldn’t allow me as I haven’t purchased it from Amazon.co.uk. It is much more expensive on Amazon than elsewhere. I paid less than 400£ for it. I will break my review into sections to make it easier to read.Difficulty:I would not agree fully with the difficulty level at 14+ as the child, 8, I gave it to actually built most of it without my help. He loves LEGO and has lot’s of it so he was probably used to it but he found the instructions very easy to follow. They were clearly laid out with everything needed in them. It has easy-to-understand pictures also.Time to build:This will be a long project to build even for the smartest. It takes days to build even without mistakes and following instructions exactly. It took us about 15-16 hours in total to build it spread over 4 days. I consider that a good thing as the fun with LEGO is the building so it gives the children lots to do.Price:This is the reason I have demoted this item to 4 stars. I would love to give it 5 but at this high price point I find it impossible. The cheapest price for this on Amazon is currently 483.91£ and that is way too much. I understand LEGO can be very expensive but there is so much you could buy for that price point. Even though I paid less than 400£ for it, I found that to be extortion. With that being said, there are a lot of pieces included in this set and probably much more than any other set to date.Final design:When the project was completed, it looked really cool. I’ll attach a picture to show you. There are other ways to build it and the instructions don’t have to be followed exactly but for the first build I would recommend following them closely to make sure not many mistakes are made. It is very big for LEGO and for this reason it is very hard to store it. It takes up SO much room so you will probably end up disassembling it soon after completion as it will be too hard to store. It looks nice and can be put on display as people will think that it’s really cool.Difficulty (compared to other LEGO): 8/10Value: 6/10Build time (longer = better): 10/10Final design: 9/10Overall: 7.5/10 (3.75 stars)In total, if you’re happy to splash out in hundreds you will be happy with this purchase. It is definitely one of the best LEGO sets on the market right now. You will enjoy building it and showcasing the final product. I would love to have given five stars but couldn’t because of the price. Then again, if you’re going to buy a couple of smaller LEGO sets adding up to this total cost, this one might be more worthwhile. These have been my opinions and I hope they help you make your decision.

Great deal with the Death Star via Amazon warehouse. Best price online by a mile. Box was a little worn but otherwise all present and correct.

A lot of fun for the whole family and all the friends of my son! It was a blast to build it, and there are plenty of fun things to do with/in it.

Many hours of pleasure

箱の重さが８kg強もあり半端でない。開封したら部品数と組み立て説明書の厚さにびっくり、作るのに１ヶ月以上かかった。組み立てる際はできるだけ広い場所での組み立てが必要で、部品の管理にも十分気をくばる必要あり。何しろ、部品数が３８００個強もあるので。部品数が多くて作るのが途中で嫌になってしまったくらいだ。完成すると４０CM強の球体なので存在感がある。本体も結構重いので設置場所には気をつけないといまずい。落としたらーーー。人形も２５体もあり結構楽しめる。ビーム砲の上下左右に動き、複数ある高射砲も上下左右に動き一部は球も発射できる、扉の開閉やその他色々なギミックがあるので結構楽しめる。最近、新作のスターウォーズが始まったが、次回作には再度でてきて欲しい。価格は高いが作りごたえと楽しみは十分ありすぎるが、作るのが大変だ。

Superbe boite de construction Lego. Le prix est à la hauteur...spéculation probablement comme le remarquent certains dans leurs commentaires. Le livret de montage est d'un format peu pratique à manipuler et relativement fragile. Un cadeau à offrir ou à s'offrir, jeune ou moins jeune. La qualité Lego, pas de surprises. Nombreuses figurines, les boîtes et les sachets sont numérotés, ce qui facilite beaucoup le montage. Il faut juste prévoir de la place pour le montage et garder les animaux domestiques à distance...

Hallo LEGO Fans!Ich habe mir den Todesstern geleistet und es nicht bereut. Es braucht seine Zeit bis man alles zusammengebaut hat aber es macht einen riesigen Spaß. Ich habe mehrere Tage für den Bau benötigt. Da ich es meinem Neffen zum Weihnachten schenken wertde, werde ich es wierder zerlegen, damit er auch seinen Spaß haben wird. Er spielt bestimmt sehr gerne damit da er auch noch Star Wars Fan ist. Das Teil ist echt groß und sehr Standfest was nicht unbedingt gleich an zu nehmen wäre. Die Bauanleitung ist gut und stellt auch kein Problem beim Zusammenbau dar. Allerdings benötigt man doch recht viel Platz zum aufbauen sowie für das fertige Modell. Es gibt viele Spielmöglichkeiten und somit wird es nicht so schnell langweilig werden. Ich gebe Zu das der hohe Preis abschrecken kann aber ich habe es nicht bereut. Man sollte aber trotzdem Fan davon sein um es sich zu leisten.Viel Spaß an alle die sich den Todesstern geleistet haben.Thomas

Maravilloso auto-regalo. Precio excepcional, servicio postventa estupendo, ya que el primer pedido salió defectuoso porque el set estaba incompleto, pero el cambio fue perfecto.El montaje de la Estrella nos llevó varias semanas a mi mujer y a mí (a ratitos casi todas las noches) y disfrutamos como enanos con todos los detalles que tiene. Ahora mismo la tengo en un aparador y no hay día que mi niño de dos años y medio no me pida jugar con la "nave". Se lo pasa pipa subiendo y bajando el ascensor, abriendo y cerrando las puertas correderas. Sacando a la Princesa Leia de la cárcel y poniéndole el pelo al soldado imperial ;-). Disparando el cañón, moviendo el monstruo del vertedero por todas las dependencias. Preguntándome dónde está R2 y C3 y si Darth Vader es malo.Es un auténtico vicio el montar y luego jugar con la Estrella de la Muerte.En definitiva, un maravilloso juguete que hace las delicias de todo aquel que lo ve.
