Withings Thermo – Smart Temporal Thermometer, FSA-Eligible, Suitable for Baby, Infant, Toddler and Adults, No Contact Required

I bought this thermometer a few weeks ago as the one we had before have wildly inaccurate readings (often a difference of nearly a degree in the same sitting) and none of us were feeling particularly well. I did a lot of research and was nearly put off by some bad reviews but I'm so glad I went ahead and bought it anyway.The thermometer itself is very accurate - - or at least it gives the same reading multiple times in a row. It can be a little tricky to take your own temperature at first but I used a mirror the first few times and now I've got the hang of it. It's very quick and easy to use especially at night. The display is large and you can see it very well either in the daytime or in the dark. It's also extremely easy to assign the temperature to the correct person (even my 7 year old can do it).I absolutely love the app. I've set up profiles for the whole family and I am really impressed that it not only tracks temperature but also symptoms and medication. You can add your own notes as well if you wish.My only slight issue with the app is that technically (from what I've found on the interbet) 37.8C is a low grade fever but the device doesn't register a fever until 38C (its a traffic light system). This is possibly to stop people from giving medication for such a low fever but I'm not sure and I avoid giving anything unless the temperature is quite high anyway. I think the device should have an orange light at 37.8C especially since I am used to measuring temperature in degrees Fahrenheit originally being from the USA. This, however, wouldn't be enough to take a star off in my opinion.I would definitely recommend this product and have recommended it to everyone I know!

Just got this. Installed the ios app, followed through the wizard to setup the thermo. It wanted my a wifi connection, so I signed it in. Setup an account in the app, and turned on the link to health kit. now, when I take a reading, the measure measurement is sent to my phone, recorded in both the Thermo App and in the Health app, I don't even need to open the app for it to happen. This couldn't be simpler to use, which is great as I'm feeling sick and that's why I got it.

The Withings Thermo is a great device, easy to use, but a little pricey at full price. However, I got it on a reduced Black Friday deal and much better value for money. It integrates well with the Withings app and with Apple Health on my iPhone.

Most important thing to know is that is not a medical grade device and because of the type its readings are easily affected by external factors: room temperature, sweat etc. Under optimal conditions, it works great.The device is nicely packaged, I love opening up Withings producstas it gives almost same plessure as Apple products.It’s easy to use and has a simple mobile application with instant updates. If you have other products, you will have their original Health Mate app. App can be a bit overwhelming at first, but you’ll get used to it.Device itself is made from very thing pieces of plastic but it doesn’t feel cheap. Little screen is clear but read/follow instructions to get the most of it. Rubber cap is the only disappointment as I’m sure somene will loose it easily.

Very nice piece of kit, very slick (very Withings). The main feature I was looking for is the connectivity so that my readings are recorded automatically. Not many thermometers have this feature (and fair enough, it’s not THAT hard to just write your temperature down - I just know I won’t!) so if that’s important to you this may be your only sensible option. There are one or two others from major brands but they’re either contact thermometers or don’t sync with Apple health (one other can, but when looking into it needed a subscription in its app to do so!).First few attempts I couldn’t get readings and was almost ready to send it back…. Glad I didn’t, it does say in the manual that it needs to acclimatise to the room temperature, and I think this just took a little longer than expected after it was delivered to the doorstep and left in the cold.Once you have the knack, it’s very quick and easy to take a measurement - one button to start, a swipe across the forehead from centre to temple, then a quick swipe down on the display to select your name and one more button press to confirm. Built in WiFi automatically uploads your readings so they’re ready for you when opening the Withings app - which will then sync to Apple health automatically at this point.It’s undoubtedly very expensive and gives the same outcome as a far cheaper thermometer. I find that it does give good and consistent results but so do cheaper ones. Nothing else is quite so slick though and if you need/want results automatically uploaded to an app and to Apple health then I don’t think there’s much alternative.

I am already in the Withings ecosystem thanks to their integration with  Health Kit - and when I needed to replace or ageing Braun ‘in ear’ thermometer decided to buy this (it was on a great offer!).This is one of those neat little devices you don’t think you need but in fact given it’s ease of use and clear read out makes the simple task of taking body temp. not only accurate but also very easy.The device is well balanced (which is important) and very very easy to use and it uploads its info. so you can review in your dashboard efficiently. Love it!

Bought on a black Friday deal as its a lot of cash... replaced a braun thermostat that's about 10 years old and it's nice not to have to buy the plastic ear cones anymore.The thermometer itself is easy to use and pairing up to the phone / wifi was no problem.It seem very accurate and more consistent than iur previous thermometer... having temperature trends in the app is very useful.
