Pumps up well and without much effort. Connecting it might be tricky for someone that doesn't have strong fingers as takes a fair bit to get it on, that said it makes a good seal.

Excellent pump

It arrived today. I was so fed up with my titchy hand tyre pump that is fitted onto my bike which often lost more air in my tyres when I used it to pump my tyres up!Being frustrated, I looked at different bike pump reviews on Amazon and decided to go for the BV Bicycle Ergonomic Bike Floor Pump with Gauge & Smart Valve Head.I was a little concerned about no instructions but thought, how hard can this be?I have a normal road bike with a Presta valve (as opposed to a mountain bike Schrader valve).This pump caters for both types and the Presta valve is the grey connector and the Schrader valve is black connector.After you take off the dust cap and loosen the screwable valve simply put the grey connector onto the valve. Once it’s on the valve turn the central locking lever so that it points AWAY from the connector and not towards it. So if your valve is at the bottom of your tyre close to the floor when about to pump it up, the lever should be pointing towards the sky.First attempt I managed to empty all the air in my front tyre as I pointed the lever towards the valve.Once I knew that I needed to turn the central locking lever away from the valve the tyre pumped up from flat to rock hard within 20 seconds.Now I know how to use this excellent bit of kit I can give it a very easy 5/5.If you want a bike pump that is minimal effort and gives excellent results then buy this.It also has extra valves for footballs and other inflatables so for some it may be worthwhile, but for me the ability to pump your bike tyres to be rock hard with so little effort is worth it, irrespective of any other extras.
