Rothenberger 80000 Monoblock Tap Spanner Set

Good, As described.

I recently purchased the Rothenberger 80000 Monoblock Tap Spanner Set from Amazon, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This set is an excellent value as it comes with three different sizes, ensuring that one will fit whatever job you need it for. Using this spanner set made the task of removing my tap incredibly quick and easy. It took me all of two seconds to take the tap off, thanks to the good leverage I was able to get on a rusted nut. This is a testament to the thoughtful design and quality of the tools. The build quality of the Rothenberger 80000 Monoblock Tap Spanner Set is impressive. The tools feel sturdy and durable, giving me confidence that they will last a lifetime. If you're looking for a reliable and effective tap spanner set, I highly recommend this product. It’s a great investment for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts.

works okay on tap fixing and made it easy to use when under the tap in the unit. i put 2 units together and did not have to get on my back under the unit

It might seem surprising for such an apparently niche tool like this, but it's actually a spanner set that would be useful in the tool kits of most houses! You get six sizes in the kit - 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13mm, plus a tommy bar. Modern taps are wonderful things if they're well designed and properly made (my tip is to avoid budget tat), but a common thing I've noticed is their ability to become loose over time. Perhaps it's the slight movement created when you operate them, or from cleaning, but whatever the case they often work themselves loose after a year or so, no matter how well they've been done up to begin with! The problem then becomes how to fasten them back up. The long, centrally mounted fixing is a threaded rod, and it invariably extends way beyond the nut, making a standard socket set impossible to use. So too with a spanner, due to space constraints. That's where these special, hollow bodied co-axial tube spanners come into their own. They slip over the rod and reach the nut without any problem at all. Easy to use and far, far cheaper than employing a plumber, they more than pay for themselves on the first use. Leaving your taps slopping around loose is both annoying and invites leaks so far better to just purchase a set and spend five minutes doing the job. Rothenburger are a well know company who make good quality tools for professional plumbers - so you can't go wrong.

Good price, well made

Cheap but does an amazing job. Kitchen sink tap had been loose for months but couldn't get to it, this did the job so easily.

Cheap and cheerful. Made for occasional use. You can see they are cheaply made, but that is reflected in the price. Ideal for the occasional diy job. Worked fine for me. Don’t regret purchasing.

Very happy with item Good price A+++

Will make the job of removing a monobloc kitchen tap easy. In fact I'm not sure you could remove one without this type of toolset.
