PunkyColour 3-in-1 Color Depositing Hair Cleanser & Conditioner, 8.5 fl oz. (Blondetastic)

I've tried a lot of color-depositing shampoos with varying degrees of success. I used to use Tressa Watercolors, but lately it's changed, with the consistency very watery and little color deposited. So I've been experimenting with other brands, and this was my latest.My biggest challenge was finding a good color: I've got natural light/medium auburn hair which is turning white as I age. I've started coloring it but red/auburn hair color fades very fast, so I find using color-depositing shampoo helps between colorings.I tried this 'Punky' brand in the 'Auburn' color, and I must say, it is VERY intense -- moreso than any other color-depositing shampoo I've tried. The color wasn't bad, but a bit more intensely orange/red than I prefer, so I ended up mixing it with some other less intense shampoo, and this worked out well. That toned down the intense-ness of the color, yet gave me a nice overall Auburn color and hid my emerging white roots.So if you're looking for a very intense, bright color, this would be a good choice. If not, you may want to try another brand. The scent and consistency was good and the price wasn't bad, so I'll probably order again when I run out.

I was nervous when I saw all the reviews about it staining everything, but I love this product. The smell isn't as bad as most people say it is, yes, I can smell bubblegum but it's not overpowering. It is so good at restoring the color to my bleached highlights (was going for a Draculaura look and it nailed it).Any stains wash out of my towels or skin, and if you wear gloves, it's easy! It's not as high maintenance as I thought it would be. I just let it sit in my hair while I work or eat, and then I wash it out.I wash my hair everyday because of the gym, so I refresh it every week with this conditioner, but it probably lasts for a solid 2 weeks with multiple daily showers.I will definitely buy again.

I had an ombré dye job from a salon student that wasn’t delivering the color vibrancy I’d hoped for. She recommended I use a blue shampoo over it to punch things up.This stuff works, but here’s what I wasn’t ready for: the amount that washes off my head and dyes my bathtub every single shower, the elbow grease and chemicals it takes to remove those stains after, it’s potent enough to leave streaks so don’t apply when dry unless you have a skilled hand, my hair must be v porous because it takes forever to rinse it out after reapplying, and the smell is like fish oil-bubblegum-vomit. It is absolutely repulsive.All that said, it gave me the result I was looking for. I would probably try another brand in the future based purely on smell.I have long hair, and have about half this bottle remaining after several uses - even after way over-applying the first time.

im so happy i finally found this on amazon. this is my go to for when i just dyed my hair. i purchased the teal color first and it kept my hair bright and the color would stay. for a long time i would use it once every week or every 2 weeks depending since i use hair products that arent too harsh nor remove the dye and ensure the color stays. now im using the red, my hair was an orange brownish color due to another product immediately stripping off my red on first wash when it claimed it would help keep my red hair vibrant, red, etc. and this brought it back right away. i get constant compliments and people asking how i keep my hair so vibrant and nice throughout the year. i love the smell of this product. my hair smelled like chemicals from the dye i used and normally that lasts for up to 2 weeks but thanks to this I'm free from it early. i guess the other product forcing me to touch up early did have a good ending 😂Tips:yes you have to wear gloves while using this and what i like to do before i wash my hair with this product is soap up the whole top part of my body including face and ears so i wont get stained and i put soap on my hands before wearing the gloves incase the gloves rips so my hands wont get stained too badly or at all. after that during the waiting period i rescrub again and do my usual shower routine. no hot water and no shampoo, maybe some conditioner after i wash the product off. the water doesnt have to be freezing cold but dont boil yourself if ruins your hair dye in general. if i do get stained i end up putting on lotion all over my body as an after shower routine and in a little while the stains will be gone. i like taking my showers using this at night so that way i have extra time for the body stains to go away with the lotion and natural body oil before going out. i have yet to experience this product staining anything besides my towels after the shower but that might be because i air dry my hair and add color protection spray after showers and ensure im no longer bleeding dye before walking out of the shower.for products that do bleed for any reason, i place a clean old towel on my pillow and sleep on that.hopes this helps ☺️

I recently purchased the red for keeping up my highlights so I decided to try the pink on my daughter who been begging for two years. I left it on for 20 mins and rinsed outside with the hose. I was shocked with how well the color took to her naturally light brown hair. My daughter is so excited with the results she keeps looking in the mirror. I would've given 5 stars, but there was a fishy odor after blow drying and it smelled so good at first. I'm hoping it doesn't last.

Note from my girlfriend: I used it as dye. Applied on dry hair and left on for one hour. Washed it out in stainless steel sink. The results were a very dark almost black color with green tones. But after about three washes it is now mocha brown. I didn't apply it again. I just washed it with my normal shampoo every other day like I would normally. I really like dying it with the color depositing shampoo because it doesn't bleed when the hair is dry like with a regular semi permanent dye.

I got my hair dyed Red from a Salon a month ago and it faded off so I bought this product just to refresh my Reds. Since I’m new to this colour and colour depositing shampoo, I bought this just because it was cheaper.This shampoo works well, thumbs up. I kept it on my wet hair for 10 mins and my Red hair looked beautiful like before BUT BUT- it smells horrible.In the bottle it smells like bubblegum and after applying on hair or mixed with water, it smells like ROTTEN GARBAGE. I’m not even exaggerating. I have sensitive nose and my nose can smell even slightest of smells. So this was too strong for me and I almost felt like throwing up. It actually made me sick for the whole day. 🤢Next day the smell was gone.So girls, if you can bear strong smells you might try this.Not to forget , once again- the colour pay off is great.Also it stains everything - from your skin to your bathroom floor, so take precautions before using itThanks for reading ❤️

Holy cow. Last night in artificial light I couldn't see what it had done see above pics. But this morning holy s### it's like a beacon, I frigging love it. Gonna get some other colours too now. I'm hooked.My hair was originally dyed with just henna powder (light mountain) this is usually a semi permanent but as my hair is very porous it is permanent for me. I was getting bored with just ginger over my natural blonde. So I figured if this didn't work, no harm done. I've not bleached my hair in the slightest for over 4 years and grew every inch of bleached hair out. So yeah I'm pretty chuffed at this result as it means I don't have to destroy my curls with bleach to achieve a bright colour anymore.

Intense red colour and my hair is already dark but had old colour from hairdresser. Kind of looked a bit coppery and orange at one point but I colour over it at hair dressers again which wasn’t a great result as these colours change the hair gradually.
