Fernox LS-X External Leak Sealer, 50ml, White, Plastic & Metal, Handheld, Sealer

Used this magical stuff to sort both a leaking pipe to a basin tap and a dripping toilet waste pipe. Have recommended to friends who have also had success with leaks.The fact that it never dries and is easy to remove makes it worth a punt to cheaply fix a leak instead of calling out an expensive plumber.It can be tricky to get off your hands after.

Fine on smaller leaks. On leak under sink wasn't so successful. Had to replace seals but used it as a extra sealer successfully.

This LS-X is brilliant stuff, I had a problem with my motorhome taps. The rubber seal had disintegrated and I couldn’t get a replacement, only option was to buy new taps, until I saw the LS-X reviews, so I thought I’d give it at try. It did the job perfectly, dries in one hour, doesn’t set hard so easily removed when necessary. I always have a tube handy, it saved me £60 on new taps. Highly recommend for those hard to fix leaks. This product is amazing. Makes pipe joints leakproof,and if you have any weeping joints, coating the area around joint seals like magic.

Bought for a small plumbing job as I didn't want to waste a whole sealant gun cartridge on it. Used about a quarter of a tube one day (wiping and capping the tube when not in use), came back to finish off the next day and the top inch of the tube had cured and blocked the nozzle. Tried to clear it with a nail and managed to get a little more out, but had to squeeze quite hard and the tube split. Apart from being weak, the design just isn't any good at keeping air out, so if you don't plan to use the whole tube in one go, I wouldn't bother. A shame, as the sealant itself is pretty good, and nicely sealed the components I was fitting. If it came with an applicator nozzle I think it would be much better.

My toilet cistern was leaking from the overflow pipe & underneath. A plumber waa not able to come out for over a week. I bought this as a temporary measure. It worked! Make sure the area you are applying it to is dry.

Really good stuff for preventing nip leaks or for those of us who like a belt and braces approach to plumbing. It won’t take much around a seal to make it water tight. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that it can look a bit messy and you can’t paint over it - so be neat with applying and wear gloves!

This is the third tube I’ve bought over the years as it does seem to go off when it’s in the bottom of my plumbing toolbox. Having said that it is very effective at sealing compression fittings. Worth getting for the peace of mind. Recommended.
