Psyc Wave X1 Bluetooth On-Ear Headphone with Built-In Microphone
The seller did not ship to my country, however I found one that did by clicking on the new link below the price and looking for a supplier that had international shipping rates displayed. First impressions of these headphones straight out of the box before use is that they are strong and feel like great quality. Out of the box these headphones took 2hrs 30mins to charge and the same from empty using: Usb cable supplied. 5V/1A usb plug (NOT SUPPLIED) The battery then lasted for 10hr 30mins (Not a guess I timed it) The headphones indicated the battery was low by sounding a faint beep every few minutes which proved annoying but you won’t miss the fact that your battery is low. The location of the charging port is well placed sitting neatly on the end of the head-band. It is ideally located for listening while charging. (Note the charge time I mentioned above was just charging, playing while charging may increase the charge time). With an adjustable head-band and soft cushion around the ear cups, these headphones sit comfortably on my head and allow for hours of comfortable and uninterrupted music. I work in a quiet office with people in close proximity to me and have not received any complaints about noise coming from my headphones. I feel this is worth a mention as my taste in music is rock and nobody can hear a sound meaning the noise leaking from the headphones is minimal. I have also used these for cycling, however I do not recommend this as the noise suppression on these is a little too effective for this as I could not hear approaching traffic. It’s a shame for those who wish to use it for this but it also speaks volumes for those wondering what the noise suppression is like. I am not well versed in bass, treble etc… but I can tell you they sound quality from these headphones is great. I have compared these headphones to various products: TaoTronics TT-BH06: https://www.amazon.co.uk/review/R3B78HCN0SKRZX/ref=cm_cr_rdp_perm I feel the noise suppression is better than the TaoTronics, the sound quality is a little bit clearer and the battery life is much better, considering the size difference it’s not surprising. However if you are a cyclist looking for a great pair of cycling earphones I highly recommend the TaoTronics. You won’t believe the quality of these little headphones and they do not fall out of your ears when cycling. My review of TaoTronics is linked above if anybody is interested. I normally don’t link other reviews however I feel I must give an alternative after highlight the noise suppression on the Psyc Wave and ruling it out for cyclists because it does it so efficiently. Kfly bluetooth headphones: I bought these headphones to replace the kly bluetooth headphones that died after many years of service. I have to say the Psyc Wave headphones surpass Kfly in every way. They are foldable. Their battery life is longer and the sound quality and noise suppression is outstanding in comparison. The microphone is ok based on a ten minute call, the person on the phone said they could hear me but it was very low. I was in a silent room at the time so, it’s ok but nothing special. There is a blue light surrounding the play button the slowly flashes while playing which could be annoying while listening in the dark or trying to sleep. I own a few bluetooth headphones of various makes and models and for some reason they all have this blue light, it’s not specific to this product but is worth noting. The buttons on the side of the headphones are quite small which I see as a bonus. I had a pair of bluetooth headphones before with bigger buttons and this made them quite big and bulky. Smaller buttons give these headphones a more discrete and lighter feel. Pairing these headphones is quite easy, simply hold down the play button for a few seconds. To indicate they are in pairing mode there is a blue light surrounding the play button that begins to flash rapidly. The headphones let you know they have been paired by producing two beeps from the earpieces. I like that I can fold these headphones up as I do travel quite a bit and it makes them much easier to store on the go. When not in use of course. I have tried these headphones with with the following operating systems: Android. Apple IOS6. Linux 14.10 and 16.04. Windows 7. They were flawless with all. Summary: I highly recommend these headphones. Pros: Great battery life. Great sound quality. Good Price (£20.34 at the time of this review) Comfortable. Good noise suppression. Easy to connect. Quick charge time. Fold-able. Cons: Microphone is not great. Low battery beep happens a too frequently had to stop using them until i charged them.

The best in market for money wise.
I absolutely hate earphones that goes in your ear canals. They hurt my ears after just half an hour and when I make a slightly stronger head movement (i.e. when I am running), I can hear the slight movement of the earphones magnifying the grinding noise in my head. If I choose smaller ear piece for the earphones, they just keep falling out when I am doing sport. But if you want small size and portability, I have always thought that earphones is the only option instead of a big bulky headphone to carry around. That is, until I found these super compact Wave X1 headset. They are over the head headset so no need to shove plastic inserts into your delicate ear canals. The headband also has the right amount of tension so I can run without worrying they drop. The one main advantage of earphones is that there are no sweaty ears as its not covering it. Well, even that one final reason for having earphones is negated by the Wave X1. As it has soft and breathable earcups. I can run for hours in these without hot sweaty ears. And they are just so so comfortable to wear. This headset has wonderfully designed ergonomics. Another plus for headphone is the simple fact that headphones always offer superior sonics than earphones. And what great sonics the Wave X1 has. Bass is nice and detailed with just the right amount of boom. While the midrange is superbly smooth and lush. And last but certainly not least, the treble on this thing is just so crisp and silky. There is a delightful sweetness to the whole sound spectrum from this little headset. So, don’t be put off by the smaller size. The Wave X1 represent the best in the market for portability and the sweetest sound. this is that

Perfect for the train - great product at an amazing price!
So, a little about me first. I was looking for some Bluetooth headphones, primarily for my 1 - 2 hour's train commute every day. I'm not fussy when it comes to noise reproduction, I'm no expert! Was just looking for something to allow me to watch TV and films on my phone and tablet comfortably. These are my first impressions after 24 hours: Am very impressed! The phones fit comfortably over my ears and head (I have a big head too!) They do a really good job of reducing ambient noise too - better, in fact, than some in-ear headphones I have that are advertised as noise-cancelling! The sound levels are very good - definitely loud and clear. Have not used the microphone - not much use to me, but I will test at some point over the next few weeks and update. The headphones themselves fold inwards so they can be easily carried - fit very snugly into my back pack. Bluetooth function very easy to use, and so far I have successfully paired them with a Tesco Hudl 2, and PlayStation Vita with no fuss. Be sure to fully charge them before using - the sound breaks up when the battery is low. Really - for £18 you can't go wrong - I was looking at products 10 times this price, but decided to take a gamble on these - so glad I did! I'll come back and update in a few weeks - please let me know if you have any questions, or if you found this review helpful!

Confusing (3.5 stars, really)
This is a strange one to review. It's not a terrible product by any stretch, but not a particularly great one either. It's my first entry into the wireless headphone market so wasn't sure if that's why, but the audio isn't quite up to scratch if you're an audiophile. I'm not one, particularly, but being a musician I can appreciate good quality sound. Overall, the audio isn't up there with my cheap (and wired) old Sony cans, which were too bassy but otherwise good. The low end in this is actually fine, but the mids are a bit too muddy in most music for my taste. Oddly, pop music mostly sounds fine and "usable", but most other genres fall flat. Some rock and punk stuff I've tested sound almost like it's played on cassette whereas softer and easy listening stuff sound a little on the tinny side. Thus, confusing. I was considering sending it back but the main reason I got this is because I hate wires and thought it's high time to get rid of them. In this area it's been fine. There's been a few dropouts when out walking, but at home or just sitting around it's performed fine. The manual suggested the audio quality may degrade when battery starts to die; it came with some power but initially I assumed that's why a lot of the audio was muddy. But a full charge (the suggested 4 hour initial charge) didn't help. It did charge pretty quickly, though. And it's been going for a day and a half with so signs of letting up, which is good to know.. Hopefully the batteries last in the long term. The "mudiness" is less evident in films and spoken word, but it's still there (especially with Siri, if you're an Apple user). Although I haven't watched a whole film with these, based on podcasts I'd imagine it wouldn't be a big problem. That being said, as others have stated, these can get a little uncomfortable with prolonged use. Sitting around with them, my ear's have been pretty warm - but being in the UK, that's not necessarily a bad thing. But out and about they can start to feel a bit tight. Most surprisingly, however, the build quality was a lot better than I expected given the price. My other choices were cans that reviewers said looked cheap, but of all the niggles these don't look too shabby as far as the materials go. It's not too difficult to learn where the volume and skip buttons are, but the central Play/Pause button could have been raised or something. I know I'm gonna end up skipping instead of pausing a lot. I've seen others in this price range with 3.5mm ports to connect to non-bluetooth devices as well as built-in FM radio. This has neither, which is a shame as I'd probably use it a lot more. But the overall quality of these isn't good enough to be anyone's main or only headphones I reckon. So if you're looking for "the one", this won't be it. But it's okay as a casual fling.

Good value for a basic bluetooth headset
This headphone arrived quickly and well packaged, surviving what had obvisously been some rough handling by the courier. The build quality is good; solid, hinges all work as expected, etc. although the small(ish) earpads and tight(ish) headband are slightly too firm for my preference. That said, they're going to stay where they are put and it's not too uncomfortable. After charging them up for the first time, I paired them to my TV (I am a night owl and often watch TV whilst the rest of the house is asleep). The pairing process was very quick and audio was immediately transferred to the headset once done. Sound quality is pretty good, enough bass to be present but not overpowering, higher frequencies were clear - especially important to me as I sometimes struggle to follow dialogue if there is background noise. All-in-all, I am very pleased with my purchase, these are more than capable of doing the job I bought them for and I look forward to many late night movies ahead.

great sweet little headphone
When it comes to portable listening, the main choice have always been between the earphones or the headphones that have earcups that rest on your outer ears. I have always struggled with the in-ear type as I find it uncomfortable, un-natural and prone to falling out when I am running. Besides, headphones have always offer superior sound quality than earphones. The downside is of course that headphones are heavy and bulky. But I believe the Wave X1 is probably the best compromise between the two worlds. The Wave X1 is made of very high quality light weight material with very comfortable ear cups. I have worn it all day without any ear fatigue as the ergonomics is just so well designed. It is already a very light and small headset but it also has a foldable design, so you can bend the headband to fold into itself. Making it even more compact to store in your pocket. It folds down to such a compact size that there is really no need to choose earphones for the sake of portability. Of course, all this portability is useless if the sound quality is not up to par. And I am happy to report that the Wave X1 sound reproduction is just superb – better than any earphones I have ever tried, and I have tried a lot over my time 😊 The bass is punchy with a lot of great detail even at the low frequency. And the mids are just so rich and lush. There is a lot of nice textures with a smoothness that is just beautiful to listen to. This is all complemented by a silky sweet treble with a lot of clarity and composure at the top end. This is a very sweet little headset for the discerning buyer.

Great headphone.
This headset has survived years of abuse by my careless teenage son. He throws them without a care in his backpack. Yanks it out of the bag again with quite some force. Sat on them, stepped on them and wore them pretty much every day. So, when they finally broke a few weeks ago, I didn’t even need to look at other brands. I bought another two Wave X1 straight away.(one from amazon other from ebay) One for him and one for me (Although with him paying for his own this time which hopefully will make him be more appreciative and careful) This is a really compact design with a headband that folds into itself. So, it is really portable and can even be just carry in a coat pocket. But look beyond the compactness and this little beauty can actually output some seriously impressive bass. And I don’t just mean loud, the bass has subtlety and very precise pitch. Definition & articulation is just superb. Midrange is where most of the musical energy lies, and the Wave X1 is certainly peppy with an energetic yet smooth character. Not to be outdone, the treble is equally smooth with a sweet silkiness that almost evokes a caramel chocolate advert! It is also beautifully tuned with a fairly tonally balanced sonic signature. Overall perspective is probably a little forward with a great sense of immediacy, but it’s not too over done so I am ok with it. Soundstage is nice and deep although a bit more width would have made it more rounded. Oh well, I am probably nit-picking now as there is really not much to fault on. Overall, this is just a superb sounding piece of kit. This Wave X1 is the great survivor, the sound is beyond excellent and the price is just unbelievable value. (Just check the Amazon listing which shows it was first sold back in 27th September 2014!)

Overall great but not for bass heads. Bargain headphones.
For the money - outstanding. Bass I was hoping for isn't really there unless you like listening at very high volumes, cranking up my phones equaliser helped. Sound quality pairing to a laptop sounds very different and tinny - experimented for a long time trying to improve it but with no great results. Awesome for the gym I've done weights in every position and they hold firm to your head, also stay put during treadmill sessions. No noise cancelling is only an issue if someone else is pounding the treadmill or watt bike and you are close by. Or if an inconsiderate muppet cranks up a bluetooth speaker on full blast. Battery life - great, bluetooth connection is reliable I've never really had an issue seamlessly switching between PC and mobile phone. Facebook messenger calls made using it were fine although sometimes hard to pick out what people are saying unless volume is up loud. Love the fact you can skip tracks with these headphones, and control volume. Overall, a very good bargain set of headphones which are great paired to a phone for the gym, and comfy enough to wear most of the day. Would have liked to see a carry bag included - and more bass.
