This is a good collection but I don't think the Sudoku could be given to a 12 year old to solve. I personally think that after a 12 year old tried No 01 they would be put off any further Sudoku puzzles for life.

We purchased this for an 8 year old to use on a roadtrip. Some color by numbers and activities were more suitable for 3 or 4 year olds, but most were age appropriate (8-12) and worked well to keep her entertained. We liked the variety of things she'd actually complete; sometimes with these books it gets tricky.
