Stop thinking about it and just buy it!
I have used this machine almost every single day since I bought it in August (it is now January) and it still does the job perfectly and efficiently. I did a lot of research on ice machines before deciding on this one as I love ice cold drinks but I hated the daily struggle of filling up ice cube trays and waiting for them to freeze and then struggling to get the ice out of the trays to use it, so I took the plunge and bought this machine and it, by far, was my favourite purchase of 2019! It's not quiet but it's not crazy loud either, and it's quite heavy even when empty but the pros by far outweigh the cons! The basket is FULL of ice within an hour and it automatically stops making ice as it knows it's full so there's no overflowing. It's easy to fill up with fresh water. If I want to add some ice in my reusable water bottle I put it on the small setting and the smaller cubes fit easily, but I don't think they'd fit a standard single use plastic bottle neck as it's a bit smaller than my aluminium bottle, although I haven't tried to know for sure. I wanted to wait to review just in case anything went wrong but everything has been smooth sailing and overall I'm thrilled that I own one of these.

Saved me thousands of pounds! How? Read on.
Saved me thousands of pounds! How? Read on. In my household we use lots of ice. We like it in cold drinks, while cooking ice is useful for blanching and keeping kebab meat cool etc. For the last twelve years I've had a very expensive (£2K+) fridge freezer with a built in ice-maker. However, the ice maker in my fridge has been repaired about fifteen times. So... I'm going to replace my fridge freezer. Meantime I needed an ice maker and my son has the same model (Kenley) but he lives in America. I bought the UK plug one and its been great. I've no need to buy a fridge freezer with a built in icemaker now since this standalone device is just as good. Should it break down its just another £99 purchase! The Kenley ice maker is quiet. OK, not silent since it has a fan on one side. It makes good quantities of ice quickly. So we make a batch of ice to fill up a section of our freezer and then we switch off the ice maker. We fill it with filtered water from our Brita jug so the ice is nice and clear too. Really good device. I recommend it.

Great device
We don't have a fridge freezer with an ice cube dispenser. To make ice we either had to fiddle about filling ice cube bags or use an ice tray which always spilled and resulted in a sea of ice in the freezer drawer. So, decided to buy this. I don't bother with the small cube setting. It makes ice quite quickly. We use the ice as it produces it and ice that is left over we put in an ordinary freezer bag in the freezer draw. No more fiddling and no more spills. Plenty of ice for the bucket holding the fizz.Only complaint is that it is a bit awkward to clean especially around where the ice is formed. I use a bent bottle brush.Has been going for 5 years now.

Very good machine
Due to medical problems I use a lot of ice and was spending £6 per week on packaged ice from the supermarkets. As the price of bags of ice went up I invested in this machine. I have used it constantly since I bought it with no problems. It makes decent sized ice cubes in a matter of minutes and is very efficient at ice production. If you are looking for a domestic machine you cannot go wrong with this one. It has already saved me money and it is so quiet to run i can say that I am delighted with the machine.

Novelty ice maker
It makes ice ok but the ice only lasts a few minutes in a drink and doesn't really chill the drink it's more of a novelty toy

Ice always available
I should have bought one of these years ago. It provides virtually unlimited, hassle-free ice on demand - with no fiddling with freezers and ice trays. It also has a health advantage in that regular iced drinks ensure I remain properly hydrated. One of my favourites is iced mocha. I dissolve some drinking chocolate and instant Columbian coffee in a small amount of hot water; then add some almond milk. I then place the mixture in a large glass and fill it with ice bullets. Brief stirring produces an instant iced drink. (Add rum, whisky and/or amaretto to taste.)I wondered initially if ice bullets instead of cubes would be okay. I needn't have done. I now actually prefer the bullets to cubes.Highly recommended.

Only 14 months of use... now useless
Bought this ice maker March 2016 and it's just packed up...not good enough?? Why do these devices give up after so few months of use?? That's only 14 months of daily use ....
