there is an improvement.
Didn't know quite what to expect from this, but I have to say its an excellent product, I am not one to hear something thats not there and I know every little sound on my Cd's and all I can say is the sound is sharper and clearer than before, I was pleasantly surprised, certainly worth the money.

Does the job it was intended for
Of all the electrical goods I own my hifi equipment is by far my most important to me and having it all surge protected is a must especially as several times in the past I have witnessed other people suffer from equipment failure because they didn't have or believe in surge protection . Having recently moved my equipment to another part of the room the leads on them didn't reach the existing surge protection system so I looked at one expressly for my hifi and eventually came across this particular one, now I must explain that the "claims" of cleaning the electricity input via this I took with the proverbial pinch of salt (still do) I'm not a follower of the " hifi snake oil" community and rather, I purchased it on price being similar to the cost of my existing one ... in retrospect DOES it make a "sonic " difference? Well, I'm still enjoying listening to music so sort of yes because I don't worry about my enjoyment being ruined by a spike or surge damaging my equipment, build quality as it stands is about as good as you could expect from something that has to comply with the current electricity safety regulations and as all these things should do it runs silently, lastly the mains lead is quite generous and allows me to tuck the unit discreetly away a top buy just for the peace of mind it gives.

Solved audio dropouts from Denon AVR-X2800H
I bought a Denon AVR-X2800H AV receiver in November to replace a Sony STR-DN1060 which blew up and couldn't be repaired (RIP). However, every time the boiler turned on or off, the sound on the Denon would cut out for a second. Very annoying. We didn't have this problem with the Sony.I already had an older Tacima CS929 mains conditioner which was ~10 years old which I bought to try and solve some other interference issues in an old flat (which it didn't). So I was hesitant that this newer model would do anything but to my surprise it completely solved the problem! No more dropouts!I've read that these conditioners do degrade over time and need replacing.I highly recommend this conditioner especially if you are experiencing similar issues with Denon amps. I may have saved the Sony AVR by replacing the older one sooner.

Recommended.
I was sceptical as to whether this sort of product can really impact on sound quality, prior to buying this Tacima 6 way mains conditioner. After all, electricity gets to our homes travelling hundreds, if not thousands of miles via thick copper , underground, over ground and it would be daft to assume 2mtrs could make any difference.I needed a 'bank of sockets' so getting one was essential to tidy my cables up. Essentially for my Media Centre pc which stores all my music on and my amplifiers though I did need extra sockets for a usb power bank, a table lamp and the television. Some companies make these type of sockets for the audiophile myth and as far as I am concerned they are ridiculously priced , even if I had that sort of money I couldn't be naive enough to lend my logic to that sort of nonsense.A basic decent quaity 'socket extension' would have cost me £20.00 so I made the decision to try one of these.I can't say I noticed a dramatic improvement in sound at all, though I did sense the sound did seem slightly more controlled, tidy, perhaps that could be the old grey matter playing tricks, I don't know.It certainly has tidied the mess of cables up. It's well made, chunky and substantial and does go some way to adding that be of reassurance. I can see why its more expensive that standard banks, it feels much sturdier. I like the visual alert of when its powered on too, the cable is thick. On a final note there's also one more thing for absolute certainty, it hasn't degraded the sound in any way.All in all a resounding recommendation. A sensible practical product at a realistic price.

Eliminated mains noise caused by laptop power supply
Only received it and hooked up my hifi gear yesterday. I had a problem with a laptop power supply injecting noise into the mains, resulting with a buzzing subwoofer. Hooking up the audio gear to the Tacima power strip resolved the noise problem.

Exceptional value
I bought this product based on the what hifi review, and from amazon reviewers comments. Initially for my valve amplifier's, preamp and dac. The difference was immediately noticeable even before a full burn in period. It has only got better since. I personally have found no reduction in soundstage or loss in top end , which was one of the what hifi comments. It has revealed new levels of clarity, which can only be a good thing. So I then ordered a second one one so that I could connect my pc, monitor and my ESL 57'S speakers into it. Did need to order longer cables for the electrostatic 57'S though. So now my entire system is on the Them. Believe me it is a well worth upgrade.

Works like a dream
It may seem an over the top solution to a problem you did not know you had. It does what it says on the box. It protects your valuable equipment from harm. Though it's the other stuff that's most useful and sets this apart from a normal plugboard. This screens out the electrical noise that is generated on your mains circuits. So when you plug in your hifi equipment all you hear is the signal from your source, to your amplifier, and then on to your speakers. Assuming of course you have decent cabling in situ?. There is a marked difference in the sound you now hear. It's like lifting a heavy blanket off the front of your speakers. Everything is cleaner, the sound stage is wider and deeper and you hear the music as it should be. Simple as that. I love these so much I now have 3 of them for my different systems. The Atmos 7.4 sound system and TV, a separate stereo system for pure music and another system in my bedroom.
