I got this rattle for our son for Christmas and it's simply beautiful. The rattle has a pleasant ring to it and the shape is pretty and small enough for a newborn's hand. The rosewood box is pretty too and of really nice quality. Bottom line: a beautiful keepsake at a great price!

Rattle is high quality
The box/packaging is a little cheap. The rattle sits in a preformed (like styrofoam) bedding covered with a taped piece of fabric. Overall for the price it is a great buy, and I would buy it again, but would repackage in something else.

The perfect gift!
The gift was beautiful! I looked for the perfect baby gift and was thrilled to find it here. In person it is exactly how it looked on line and I could not be more pleased. A wonderful keepsake!

Labels say not to use as a toy or after first tooth appears
I ordered two rattles and was disappointed when I opened the packages and saw two warning labels. A message on the bottom of the rosewood box says, "This product is designed for collectable [sic] gift, it is not a toy." The rosewood box is inside a cardboard gift box with a label that says, "Discontinue use when 1st tooth appears." The Web description says the rattle can be kept in the freezer when the baby is teething, so I was disappointed that it can't be used for teething if the baby has even one tooth that has started to appear. Learning that the rattle is not to be used as a toy also was a big disappointment. It is pretty, and so is the rosewood box, but in case you want a rattle that you can let the baby play with and put in its mouth, I thought you should know about the warning labels.
