Nice easy solution to collecting shavings
Great partial solution. Vacuum is ideal but this is pretty good at preventing a lot of shavings going everywhere

It's incredible how much sawdust the planner shoots out. This does the job of retaining the shavings perfectly. Easy to empty and the spring in the bag can been compressed for handy storage

I bought this when I bought the 18v planer.I thought it would at least keep most of the shaving in one place.It does it better than that. It works really well, it’s light weight so doesn’t affect the handling of the tool and all the shavings bar a very few get collected. It is easily detached from the planer and opens equally easily to ditch the shavings.It collapses down with clips on the material hooking over the main body. Easily unhooked when needed and springs up into its static size- of a small loaf.Recommend- unless you like chewing shavings.
