Nicky Epstein Knits for Dolls: 25 Fun, Fabulous Outfits for 18-Inch Dolls

While the designs are very sweet, the knitting patterns are badly written and in some cases almost impossible to follow. The one for ‘My cozy Valentine’ has a cable repeat, which I had to write out in order to get started, as it only gave 2 rows and then said continue in pattern as established although one cable repeat was 6 rows and the other 8 rows and therefore did not make sense. I had similar problems with another of Nicky Epstein doll pattern books. Also the yarn suggested is usually very expensive and difficult to source, or even to find a suitable substitute.

The book is really good once you’ve sussed it out I quite agree with another one of the reviews the patterns take some understanding but once you’ve done that there good, it came when it was supposed to packaging very good but it was left on my windowsill in the pouring rain not too clever since it was a book. I think the delivery people should use some plastic bags for the winter at least if they were to leave these products out in the elements which people have bought they wouldn’t be spoilt

Love this book of knits for dolls. I was knitting like mad for my 2 granddaughters as I had already bought the 18" dolls they fit. Have made quite a few of the outfits, bags and hats but there is still more to do. Glad I bought this book and I must say that as the author is American some of the wording of a few patterns made me stop and think a little as to what I had to do. I have only been knitting again for the last 3 years or so after a long break and I managed to produce lovely items so I am very pleased with my purchase.

very nice book to make outfits for modern dolls but could be suited to vintage dolls, some patterns are very simple, some are for the more experienced knitter , instructions are very clear, bags and hats are included. So far i have made four outfits in the easy patterns, I am very happy with the results.

Great, mainly knitting book. A few stitches of crochet to pretty and finish off the clothes. if you can't crochet it doesn't matter .All of the patterns are straight foreward with all of the abreviations fully explained. The patterns are so trendy and modern, The coloured picture on the front of the book showing the outfits are so inviting needing immediate knitting . Enjoy

Great to have some modern knitting patterns for dolls clothes to make for the Grandchildren, they are loving the designs and I am enjoying making them. Easy to follow patterns. I am onto number four outfit. My only criticism would be, please can the next book say what ply the patterns are for, this would help the novice knitter.

Haven't used it yet but it's a fantastic book and I'm sure the dolls I have will be amazingly dressed for my grandchildren.

This is a wonderful book for dolls outfits. Bought to knit clothes for my grand daughters 18" doll. Fantastic designs for clothes and accessories. Book is very well printed with lovely illustrations and superb value for money.
