I purchased this product for my Christmas tree lights. I initially had problems getting the timer setup. Of course, I read and followed the instructions to ensure that it was setup properly. The product and instructions were simple and easy to understand, but couldn't get it to work. After a few times, I decided to return it. Customer service for the seller was 5-star. They got back to promptly, apologized for the issues that I was experiencing and immediately refunded me. A day or so later, after viewing a couple of YouTube videos, I decided to try once more. I tested it out for two full days and it worked perfectly. One of the mistakes was the carrot (arrow) in the center must be set for the current time in which you are setting it up. This key info is missing from the instructions. It will not work otherwise. Also, the product shown on Amazon is not the same as what I receive. I think it is misleading and the Board pic should reflect what the customer actually receive. The Board pic is a 12/12hrs time schedule, straight forward and simple. What you receive is a 6:15a/6:15p appearing to be going backwards (from night to morning), forward other times. It's hardly rocket science and it's just a timer, simple, but it can still cause confusion and in this case, it did.

Simple. 2-prong (there is a different version for 3-prong). Very basic unit. But, for me, most important feature is - dead silent (no click-click-click), which is nice for a mechanical unit.

Easy to set up. Set it and forget it.

I returned the timers because one did not work and the other one worked, but was warm to the touch after only using it for 30 minutes.It was easy to use but I was afraid that it was not safe.

One of the timers is working and the is not. I'm happy with the one that works
