This is a simple, but great product. It's very easy to install, not requiring any tools other than a pencil. To be fair my doors look better without the guards, but my toddler looks better with his fingers too. He has recently discovered the joy of opening and closing doors, much to his delight and my continued horror as the doors are heavy and numerous. Using these guards I have total peace of mind, he won't trap his fingers in the hinge side of the door and there's very little chance of him taking the guard off because the adhesive strip is quite strong.As for the product itself it's very simple: It's a set of foldable pieces of plastic, one for the front of the door and one for the pack (sold in packs of two). Simple as it is, someone has really thought about the material, the sizing, and has crafted the plastic so that it is strong or flexible in the right places such that it folds correctly and neatly with the door. They are also strong enough to withstand toddler attack, and can't easily be pulled off. I tried pulling it off just to see if I could and what kind of mark it would leave; I was successful (but toddler most likely wouldn't as you really have to pull from the top which he won't reach), and it left no marks.Overall I have a lot of peace of mind from installing these guards. I installed 6 (back & front) in about 30 minutes. The only regret I have is that they are expensive for just pieces of plastic, but I feel comfortable that someone designed and marketed a simple product that will do great good for children. Well done to the designer!I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the cost.

These finger guards are amazing. They have taken the worry out of having grandchildren around a lot of doors. I appreciate that they are expensive, but they are well made and definitely do the job. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. We bought 2 double packs and installed them as we were worried about our grandchild's fingers. Trapping fingers is all too easy and I don't want to be responsible for my grandchild accidentally chopping bits off their fingers when it's a simple thing to prevent. I was concerned in case the sticky strips didn't last, but we have had these up for a while now and the adhesive is still as firmly stuck as it was when I first put them up. With these guards up and in combination with the anti slam guards from Baby Dan, we don't have to worry about little fingers; which is a good thing as there is now another little grandchild with tiny little fingers.

This product is very good and protect fingers well. I think they are a bit pricy and hence 4 stars.I am a bit concerned if the double sided tapes will stick to my walnut door permenantly hence I put 3M picture hanging strips on it and then stick to my door.Buying this pack-of-2 has some advantage of effectively you can fit three doors big gaps. Here is how I did it, each pack has two square type for the big gaps and two small flexible for two doors. After fitting the big piece, I have stick the two small pieces together and fitted a third door. But you won't have enough materials to cover the small gap side of the doors.In general, great product. I have 9 doors in my house ... it is gonna cost you.

Note not suitable for doors with rising hinges.

Great idea and easy to install. Look so good and unobtrusive that people living here walk past them and the children haven't asked about them.I was worried that my it might not work on my doors as they open almost 180 degrees, but the guards are working fine (just had to position the guard without the guide piece). Use gloves with the alcohol wipes or you might get chapped finger like me when you wash your hand X times a day.

Great product. 18month old immediately lost interest on door jams and gave us peace of mind.

Very good product, but very expensive. 3 stars because of price.
