so when our new bathroom was installed 9+ years ago, we had a matching soft close toilet seat fitted....for some reason the soft close hinges failed within a year and then we were sent new ones that worked well..The seat/lid recently got cracked but it turned out the original company making the seat was no longer making a seat that fitted at all so I had to look for one that would fit.Due to the shape of the cistern, we were limited in choice....and also with the bowl being short, we were again limited. Thankfully this seller had lots of information about the seat on its listing, Including a diagram and lots of measurements, which made me confident it would fit.The listing did state it was a damaged box item but the seat itself was sealed and it arrived quickly and exactly as described. Removing the old seat was a pain in truth but putting the new seat on took just a few minutes.And it was less than half the price of the seat it was replacing.The fact it is soft close is great (can't imagine not having soft close anymore) but the best thing about it is the ease of cleaning once you lift the seat away. Normally the hardest part to clean is around the hinges which are more than often fixed, or they were when we chose the bathroom suite.Im sure we will eventually have these in all the bathroom as it just makes sense as they are so much easier to clean

Perfect fit for my toilet , unfortunately the fixing nuts and washers disappeared into the holes, had to use thicker washers and wing nuts from my original seat

Short Projection Compact D Shape One Button Quick Release Soft Close White Toilet SeatI went of the measurements given on the advert on Amazon (click the link) it actually only gives the dimensions of the lid, not the seat.So for those who want the seat measurements they are 350mm wide and the length measured from the centre line of the 'hinge' is 400mmThese are the more important measurements because the seat is down and that's what you see most of the time.There is lots of adjustment so the seat can be moved forward to reach the front of the porcelain and very easy to centralise. On my toilet seat width there was approx 5mm per side porcelain on show, with the lid down the porcelain was covered completelyThe product itself is excellent, very strong and sturdy, easy to fit and the one press button to lift the whole seat off for cleaning is so easy to do.The fittings you get in the pack give you the option to either fit in the conventional way with nut underneath, or you can fasten it from the top putting what is basically a flexible 'push in' rawl plug that you push into the holes in the porcelain, and simply fasten the hinge assembly with a standard screwdriver from the top. Couldn't be easier. If the product measurements suit your needs, then go for it, the quality and price is well worth it.By the way at time of writing this review this exact seat is 10p short of £47 delivered from Victorian plumbing (£19 cheaper on Amazon)

This is a great toilet seat, strong, rugged and looks great. Soft close is excellent, and the quick release idea is very useful.Unfortunately, I have to mark it down 2 stars:1.,) Measurement: I measured the toilet length from the mid-point of the screw holes to the front of the pan, and based on the measurements opted for the short seat. What I didn't realise, is that - (a) depending on the width of the screw holes, the actual position of the pan mounts could be +/- 1.2cm. (b) That the measurement is for the lid of the pan, and not the actual seat which is perhaps 1cm shorter, (c) that when the lid is lifted up, there appears to be a little play, and the seat slides back a few mm. The result is that the seat despite being the right measurements, is almost 1.5cm-2cm too short, and looks too small2.) Fittings. It comes with fittings for both top and bottom fed fittings. I didn't want to over-tighten the screws, but needed to tighten them enough to stop movement in the seat. Unfortunately by doing so, the screw head starts to pull into the mount, and the mounting bar (Vertical bar that the toilet seat clicks into) started to bend . I.e. is no longer properly vertical. This made it very difficult to clip the seat on.It's a real shame, as this is a good toilet seat,

I ordered this product to replace my tatty old toilet seat. After only 3 days it arrived, so all excited as one does over toilet seats, I opened the box only to find the wrong one had been delivered. I thought now what do I have to do as I have never had to return anything to Amazon.However the procedure was so simple and I made contact with the supplier to explain thinking how many weeks will I have before I get an answer. OH NO just 6 minutes later an email came in asking for a photo of the delivered seat, this I did and included a photo of my old seat to show why this was incorrect. 7 minutes I received another email apologising for the error and saying that the correct on would be sent to replace it and I need not send the other one back but give it to charity. The whole thin was resolved when the correct on arrived the next day (Saturday) special delivery. Anyone can make a mistake but it is how a company corrects it that counts and this one was 1st class. I am not one to write reviews normally but this company deserves 10 stars for their excellent service

Caution when ordering this.If it fits brilliant but it didn’t even when triple checking measurements off the photo and listing. It was the lids measurements not the actual seat.
