Most canvas boards are mounted on cardboard which warps if you paint on it so I was so excited to find these. I paint on a dark ground so I prime all the canvases before painting, this means I can't judge how well they are primed out the pack- to be honest I always prime canvas myself anyway as I like a solid base for my paint to sit on. The canvas is smooth, very smooth compared to other canvas boards, which results in a slightly glossy finish. Canvas was smoothly mounted and neatly sealed on the back. I won't be buying any other canvas boards from other suppliers. Warped canvas boards have bothered me for years so I can fully recommend these to anyone wishing to paint. I see a lot of surprised reviews that these aren't stretched canvas- its worth noting that canvas boards are easier to store and much cheaper and easier to frame. I couldn't find anything picture-wize that matched my vision for the new colour scheme/theme in my bathroom, so I bought this set of canvases and made my own, and I must say, it's turned out exactly how I wanted it to.
