Not very well made
Much as I dislike writing negative reviews, hardly ever do it preferring to keep quiet, I have to say that I am very disappointed with this product. It is very poorly made. The handle is a piece of unsanded wood, badly tacked to the ruler. There is a dent in the measuring edge, the hole to hang it up has not been sanded and has rough edges so catching on fabric and the varnishing is of a very poor standard. I would be surprised if it is hardwood but I may be wrong. All this for £12 odd... I did test the scales and they at least are accurate. If I wasn't in a rush for a job, I would be returning it. I do not recommend it

A good ruler at a fair price
The ruler arrived without damage and is quite sturdy. Accuracy is very good, better than I was expecting.Like all rulers it is easy to use and overall quality is pretty good. For the price I would recommend it.

Poor Quality Soft Wood
Many years ago I had a real "Yard Stick" made out of I think Box Wood with brass on the ends and it was lacquered.This has none of that quality and where the handle has been attached with small staples or nails the wood has split and I guess it has been glued back together.Defiantly not for precision work and lookout for splinters.
